Chapter 6 - Imprisonment

Under the suspicions of holding illegal drugs, Camilo-san was arrested and put into jail. 

When I immediately pleaded with Camilo-san's subordinate unreasonably, I was given entry to the jail that he was imprisoned in. 

MC: Camilo-san, why... You turned yourself in without telling them that you were tricked. 

Camilo: I'm the kind of person that would never break the rules. 

MC: But...!

Camilo: I'm responsible for letting my guard down. I'm prepared to accept the judgement that'll be handed down to me. 

When he told me that, he held his chin up with a strong determination.

Feeling helpless, I left the jail. Aside from the time I came here, I was feeling completely hopeless... 

Chapter 7 - Camilo's Judgement

After leaving the jail that Camilo-san was imprisoned in, I tried to find some proof of his innocence somehow, but... His subordinates and the remnants of the castle were confused about the sudden incident, so they didn't give me a chance to to hear me out...

Camilo: I'm the kind of person that would never break the rules. I'm responsible for letting my guard down. I'm prepared to accept the judgement that'll be handed down to me.

The urge of wanting to help him stimulated me. 

(No matter how painful it'll be...) 

Thinking about Camilo-san spending the night in jail by himself made the feeling of being unable to sit still rise more. At that moment... 

MC: Eh, that child just now... 

Even though I just passed by him within the crowd of people, I knew who he was right away.

(It's... the boy that we bumped into at that time!) 

With no doubt, I immediately went after him.

MC: Wait...!

When I ran up in front of him with all my strength, I called out to him and blocked his way. 

Boy: What, ah, you're the woman that was with Camilo.

Boy: That guy arrested my brother. Come to think of it, you were there during Bro's trial. 

(Then, by brother, is he talking about the person that tried to run away at that time...?) 

Boy: I only did it for revenge. You have no right to meddle with me. 

After saying that, he bumped into my shoulder as he was about to walk past me. 

MC: Wait. Even though you think badly of Camilo-san, won't you come to his trial? If you do, you'll see what kind of person he is.

Boy: Are you stupid? Why would anyone want to go through the trouble into getting caught? 

MC: Camilo-san didn't say anything about you. 

Boy: Eh...

MC: He said that it was his own mistake... But. He's wrong about that... So, please!

When I continued pleading and lowered my head desperately, the boy reluctantly nodded. 

Boy: ...Promise me this.

I lightly nodded towards his demands... 

A few days later... On the day of Camilo-san's trial, the boy and I sat down in the visitors' gallery. 

Judge: Now then, let's begin the trial of the defendant, Camilo.

The judge entered the court and banged the wooden gavel to announce that they were starting.

(Camilo-san... I wonder if he's a little tired...) 

As I looked at him, I strongly gripped my hand tight.

After a while of some arguments going back and forth...

Judge: If you have any final statements, please say them now. 

Camilo: My sin is negligence. I was unable to fulfill my duties of protecting the order of this kingdom and got arrested because of that. That is what I truly regret right now.

Suddenly, he got up from his seat. 

MC: Where are you-

After saying that, the boy walked up in front of the judge. 

Camilo: You're...!

Boy: I'm sorry.

The people's murmurings increased more. 

(That's good. Now, Camilo-san will be released...) 

At that moment, the boy said something to Camilo-san and looked at me...

Last Chapter - In the Cathedral...

The next day after Camilo-san was cleared of all charges... When Camilo-san called for me, I went to the biggest cathedral in the kingdom. 

As the inside of the cathedral was filled with a grand atmosphere, there was an elegant scent lightly drifting. The moonlight that was shining through the stained glass was breathtakingly beautiful too. 

MC: Camilo-san. 

When I spoke to Camilo-san, who was waiting for me, my voice echoed to the high ceiling. Just as my footsteps were loud as I ran towards him, I quickly started to slow down and walk. 

(I was so happy to see him that I ended up rushing to him...) 

Feeling embarrassed, I approached Camilo-san as he looked at me gently. 

Camilo: Sorry for calling you over here. 

MC: It's okay. I'm just relieved to see that you're safely released. I really wanted to see you with my own eyes...

Camilo: I called you over here today because I wanted to thank you. 

MC: But, I didn't do anything. 

Camilo: You brought over that boy to the courtroom. 

MC: ...I just happen to encounter him... He turned himself in because of your personality. 

Camilo: That's because of you, that boy came to the courtroom because he was curious. 

MC: What's going to happen to that boy? 

Camilo: ...Since it's a drug possession case, he's going to be investigated. 

MC: Eh...? 

Camilo: Even though he put me in a trap... I won't press charges against him. 

MC: ...!

Just as I widened my eyes, Camilo-san turned away awkwardly.

When he turned towards me with a bashful look, my heart started pounding loudly at that moment.

Camilo: No, seeing your kindness and honesty made me realize that people can change. ...To tell you the truth... I changed too. 

I felt myself becoming attracted to his heated gaze. 

Camilo: I... There's something I want to say to the person that changed me.

Camilo-san's wings slightly spread out as he was breathing. While looking at him like that, it felt like I was growing wings as well as restless feelings were spreading within me. 

Camilo: I've realized that... I find you to be very dear to me. 

MC: ...

That straightforward confession made me a little dizzy.

MC: !!

That question was even more direct that it made me turn red as I looked back at Camilo-san. As I felt myself becoming absorbed towards Camilo-san's heartrending gaze, it took hold of my heart and wouldn't let go. 

Camilo: ...Is that okay? 

When Camilo-san asked me again very sincerely, I felt my earlobes becoming warm and lightly nodded.

As his handsome face was slowly getting closer, his breath felt ticklish against my lips. 

Camilo: I'm glad that this kingdom doesn't ban kissing... I don't have what it takes to break the law... 

MC: ...

After murmuring that, the soft sensation became faintly heavy and went away soon after. With his very embarrassed face close to me, he smiled. 

Camilo: This is my first time... Sorry if I didn't do it well. 

MC: I-It's okay. 

When I responded very seriously, he gently smiled to calm himself down. 

Camilo: Then... I'll take up on your offer. 

MC: ...

When he placed his lips over mine again, it was very affectionate As my mind was going blank with my strength leaving me, I couldn't care if it was either good or bad... Because it was Camilo-san giving it to me... I could hear the loud sound of the cathedral bell as it was ringing from somewhere...
