Clown: In my family, whoever accomplishes making 100 people smile, they need to return to the castle. Then, they'll be living as a royal that makes people smile... In other words, this is where I have to part ways from you.

Those words surprisingly made my heart throb. 

MC: We have to... part ways. 

When I gripped my hand tightly, I tried to say something. 

Clown: ...That's how it was supposed to be. 

MC: Was? 

As I was unable to understand his circumstances, he tucked away all the magic props that he was holding into his pockets. 

Clown: When you woke me up, I became conflicted while you were traveling with me for a short time.

After saying that quickly, Clown-san extended his hands towards my waist and hugged me. 

Clown: Out of all the smiles I've seen during my long journey, your smile is the only one that makes me smile for real... I never thought that I would encounter a smile like yours. MC, won't you still continue this journey with me? 

MC: Together, with you... 

Clown: Yeah. Your smile is the best one I've ever seen after all. 

As Clown was hugging me, he made a gentle smile on his face that was covered in jester makeup. His eyes that were sparkling brightly captivated me.

The next moment, Clown picked me up.

While holding me up, the vast starlight in the sky shined on the path ahead of us.
