Chapter 5 - Going to the Marchioness

Dormouse: ...But, I know Alice-chan... She was reeeeeaaaally nice. She would call me a good boy and pet my head. Just where did she go... I want to see her.

The next day... A retainer that's been entrusted with a message from the queen spoke to me. 

MC: So, if we have the marchioness do a medical checkup on Dormouse-kun, she might be able to cure his insomnia.

When he moved his head onto the pillow, Dormouse-kun placed his hand over mine. His very adorable pure smile made my anxieties go away...

Dormouse: ...Fufu... You too, MC-chan... You look so sleepy... ...Are you happy to be sleeping with the person you love? 

As his cheeks turned pink, his small lips smiled in embarrassment. 

Dormouse: Let's say... thanks to... Alice-chan together... next time... zzz. 

Just as his words became faint, his soft breathing as he was sleeping started to be heard in the room. Even though he fell asleep, his fingers wouldn't let go of my hand.

MC: Goodnight, Dormouse-kun... 

Instead of letting him know about the sad things, I only wanted him to sleep innocently. After I prayed that to God, I slowly dozed off beside him...
