Chapter 1 - Jewellike Eyes

Snow Kingdom, Snowphilia, February... 

Surrounded by the flash of light that came out from the ring, that person woke up from a long slumber. Known for their pride, the prince of the Snow Kingdom's household... 

Graysia: Mm... This place is... 

With silver hair that was bright like midwinter snow, he was in an attire of light blue and white. Aside from his entire body being covered in cool colors, his eyes were the only ones that were bright red as they were sparkling like jewels. 

Graysia: You... Did you wake me up? 

When I explained the situation to him... With a "hmm", he gave me a sharp look as if he got the gist of it. My heart throbbed as I became startled from his blunt gaze. 

MC: Um... Are you okay? 

Wanting to know his name, I hesitantly spoke to him. 

Graysia: I'm Graysia. Not that it matters. You have my thanks for waking me up. But, that's it. 

MC: O-Okay... 

(Graysia... -ukn. Despite that it doesn't look like he's in a bad mood... He's kind of scary.) 

Graysia: Even though you're the Traumerei Princess, I... Don't flatter yourself with the noble snow household. 

As I was confused by Graysia-kun's unarrogant attitude, he brushed the snow off his knees and started walking. Where he was heading to was... 

(Huh? I'm pretty sure that the castle was in the opposite direction.) 

MC: Aren't you going to return to the castle?

Graysia: ...

He only glanced towards me, but he headed towards the opposite direction of the castle... Walking towards the town of Snowphilia. 

MC: W-Wait-

When I took a step forward and followed him without thinking, I tripped in some fresh snow. 

MC: Ah...!

Just as my body lost balance the next moment...

Graysia: What are you doing? You're such a slow woman. 

Graysia-kun's slender, yet strong arms were holding me firmly... 

Chapter 2 - His Kindness

Graysia: What are you doing? You're such a slow woman. 

Despite how slender his arms look, they're strong. His cold looking eyes made him look unfriendly, but I saw some concern in them. 

(Such pretty eyes... They look like jewels.) 

MC: ...

Graysia: ...Hey. 

MC: Yes!

As I was looking at him without realizing it, he twirled his bangs in annoyance. 

Graysia: If it's nothing, then stand by yourself. 

When I looked down, I...

MC: T-Thank you. 

Graysia: ...You don't need to thank me. 

The moment I thanked him, it felt like his icy cold gaze had melted away.

MC: I'm sorry. 

Graysia: Apologizing right away, don't you have any pride? 

MC: ... 

His scorning cold eyes gave me a stinging pain.

The moment I got out of Graysia-kun's arms soon after, I felt a slight pain running through my ankle.

When I said that as I crouched down, Graysia-kun's red eyes widened. 

Graysia: Did you twist your ankle when you tripped just now? 

MC: I-I'm fine... 

Graysia: ... 

After Graysia-kun sighed in irritation, he crouched down with me. Then... 

Graysia: ...Geez. 

When Graysia-kun held out his hand, my foot felt comfortably cool. 

MC: ...Magic? 

Graysia: Yeah. I don't use it for this sort of thing though. 

(The pain is going away...) 

Graysia: That'll do. Let's have a doctor look at it later... I'll take you to town. 

MC: ...Thank you. 

(I thought he might be a cold person, but... He's actually kind.)

As we continued walking through the snowy field, we passed through the huge stone gate entrance to town...

When we arrived at the area of white snow-covered buildings, all the people noticed us. 

Townsperson 1: My, it's Frost-sama's brother!

Townsperson 2: What! Did he wake up from a slumber...

Townsperson 3: Yeah, this'll make Frost-sama happy!

When the town's residents saw Graysia-kun, they became happy. Although, contrary to the residents...

(Huh...? I wonder what's wrong.) 

His expression suddenly became gloomy. Also, the residents kept on saying the name, "Frost"... 

MC: Um, by Frost-sama?

Townsperson 2: You don't know! Frost-sama is the crowned prince of the Snow Kingdom!

MC: Crowned prince...

(In other words, Graysia-kun's... older brother?) 

Just as I turned towards him to ask, I realized that Graysia-kun has disappeared. 

MC: Eh... Graysia-kun!? 

(Where did he go?) 

When I remembered Graysia-kun's gloomy expression from earlier, I became worried. I ran off to search for Graysia-kun... 

Chapter 3 - A Place Where He Calms Down

As I followed the footprints, I saw a huge lake that was frozen in ice beyond the snowy field. 

MC: Ah... 

Graysia-kun was skating skillfully on top of the frozen lake. On his feet, he was wearing ice skates that were made of ice. 

(Did Graysia-kun make those skates with his magic too? He seems to be enjoying himself...) 

He looked satisfied as he was skating fast on top of the icy lake. That expression didn't look gloomy like in town earlier.

(He seems to be at ease while he's skating...) 

For a while, I became captivated by him. Despite that it wasn't an elegant ice show, I became excited from the man enjoying himself as he was skating boldly. 

Graysia: ...What are you doing here? 

- Call out to him (☼)

MC: Graysia-kun, you're really good at skating. 

Graysia: You...!

Graysia-kun stopped his feet. When he looked over here, his mood kind of turned sour.

Graysia: Did you have a doctor check your foot? 

Graysia-kun's words made me shut up. Even though he told me to go see a doctor before he disappeared, I didn't and ended up coming here. 

(Even though he went out of his way to take me to town...) 

MC: No... Not yet. But, it's okay now and it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm sorry. You even went out of your way to take me there. 

When I apologized, Graysia-kun sighed in frustration. 

Graysia: Quick to apologize again. If you're okay, then that's fine. 

MC: ...Do you like to skate? 

Graysia-kun seemed troubled by my question as he scratched his head. 

Graysia: ...Not really. I just felt like moving my body since I was asleep for so long. 

After saying that, he went to skate on top of the ice again.

MC: Eh?

Graysia: ...Are you bored? 

I was troubled on how to respond to those words. 

Graysia: You've been watching me this whole time. 

MC: T-That's because you seem to be having fun from skating... 

When Graysia-kun widened his eyes, he scratched his head again. 

Graysia: Then, do you want to try it? 

Graysia-kun approached me as I was standing at the shore of the lake. 

MC: I-I don't know how to skate...!

As I frantically shook my head, I could feel that Graysia-kun was looking at me as if he finds me weird. 

Graysia: What's the person, who woke me up for a moment, going to do if they can't do something like this? 

MC: T-That's not what I'm say-

Suddenly, he held out his hand. His hand was pale, but big and bony like a young man's. 

Graysia: Come on. 

Once I made up my mind and held his hand, my feet slid on top of the frozen lake and then... My shoes became like ice skates as ice blades had materialized on them. 

MC: Wow... 

Scared of the instability on my feet, I clung onto Graysia-kun's body. 

Graysia: How shameful. 

When Graysia-kun held both of my arms, he laughed.

As I was being pulled by Graysia-kun, we went to the center of the lake.

While I was desperately clinging onto him, I couldn't see my surroundings.

MC: Please don't let go of my hand!

Graysia: Geez. Fine. 

As I clung onto Graysia-kun's arm tightly, we moved forward a little.

MC: Eh...

After he said that, I nervously looked up. Then, we were at the center of the lake. As the wind blew through the trees around us, tiny snowflakes sparkled as the sunlight shined on them. 

MC: Pretty...!

Graysia: Isn't it a nice view? This is my favorite spot. Whenever something bad happens, I would come here to calm down. 

MC: Something bad...? 

When I looked at Graysia-kun's face, he shut his mouth soon after. 

Graysia: ...It's nothing. By the way, you should try skating by yourself at least. If you don't, I'm leaving you here. 

MC: W-Wait! I'll try my best!

After I responded, Graysia-kun placed his left hand on my back. 

Graysia: Good answer. Alright, try skating for a bit. 

Despite what he said, he was gently escorting me. As I felt his body warmth from my back, my heart throbbed noisily. 

MC: T-Thank you, Graysia-kun!

I looked up and smiled at Graysia-kun, so that he wouldn't hear my heartbeat. 

Graysia: ...It's no big deal. 

I noticed that Graysia-kun's cheeks have become slightly red...

Chapter 4 - Sharp Eyes

I noticed that Graysia-kun's cheeks have become slightly red, but... 

MC: Graysia-kun? 

While he was quiet, I tilted my head to the side as I looked at him. 

Graysia: I-It's nothing. You're done with skating now, right? You injured your foot too... 

MC: Yes, it was really fun. 

Graysia: ...I see, that's good. 

When Graysia-kun turned his face away to feign ignorance, his cheeks were blushing. At that moment... 

Castle Servant: ...-sama, Graysia-sama! So, this is where you were!

MC: ...? 

Graysia: That's a maid from Brother's place. 

Looking up towards the approaching voice, the servant that came from the castle kneeled before Graysia-kun. After exchanging a few words... 

Graysia: ...Like I said, I get it. Just go back. 

When Graysia-kun said that, the servants returned to teh castle with troubled looks. 

(Come to think of it, what kind of person is Graysia-kun's older brother?)

Townsperson 1: My, it's Frost-sama's brother!

MC: I-I would like to try meeting your brother, Graysia-kun. 

When I said that with a smile, Graysia-kun gave me a sharp look. 

(Eh...?) 

The cold wind blew around us as we were standing on top of the icy lake. 

MC: W-What's wrong? 

Graysia: ...Shut up. 

He removed his hand that was supporting me coldly. 

MC: Graysia-kun...? 

Graysia: ...Did you get closer to me because you wanted to meet Brother too? 

MC: Eh...!? 

Graysia-kun stared at the surface of the frozen lake. Towards him acting like that...

MC: What do you mean...? Did something happen between you and your brother? 

Graysia: ...It's not like that. 

With his hand on my back, Graysia-kun looked at the distant castle as he bit his lip in frustration.

When Graysia-kun held back his words, he looked down at the top of the lake.

The next moment, his red eyes looked towards me as his nicely shaped lips were trembling. 

MC: I'm sorry... If I hurt your feelings somehow.

Graysia: Like I said, you apologize too quickly. 

After a short pause, Graysia-kun calmly spoke. 

Graysia: My brother holds a tremendous amount of magic power that's better than the snow household... As the king's successor, he's really outstanding. Due to the kingdom's merit system, everyone respects and adores Brother. Well, that's fine and all, but... Liking like that isn't exactly a good thing. Because I'll always been seen as Frost's younger brother. 

(That's why he disappeared from town the moment they started talking about his brother before... The time when he woke up too, he wouldn't return to the castle immediately either...) 

Graysia: How uncool. They don't care since the younger brother is a strange person, but I... 

He vaguely ended his sentence and then, he lightly sighed. 

Graysia: Well, whatever. If you want to meet Brother too, then show yourself at the castle soon. 

MC: Wait, you got it all wrong!

Towards Graysia-kun's sad expression, I shouted that. 

Graysia: Eh? 

MC: I was only curious about your brother because what I wanted to know more about... Uh... 

Graysia-kun's eyes widened greatly. 

Graysia: What? 

MC: What I'm saying is... It's you, Graysia-kun... 

My face instantly became hot. Although, when I looked at Graysia-kun's face while enduring the embarrassment... 

Graysia: ...

(No way... He's even redder than me...) 

Graysia: ...That makes me happy.

I wasn't sure if I heard Graysia-kun right after he softly murmured that. After that, we were silent as we only looked at each other in the vast snowy field...
