Chapter 6 - Setting the Promise Aside...

As the sun was going down towards the hill, it emitted a glaring light.

In Ilia-san's hand, he closed the pocket watch. 

Ilia: ...Let's head on over to the hill. 

MC: But, what about your promise with the queen? 

When I mentioned the queen, Ilia-san's shoulders slightly shook.

MC: ...My apologies. 

Ilia: MC-sama didn't do anything wrong. 

Before I could lower my head, Ilia-san spoke up. 

MC: Ilia-san...!

Ilia: I'm the one who was dragging her around. If you want to blame someone, blame me. MC-sama was aware of our promise the entire time. 

Queen: Ilia...? 

The queen widened her eyes in surprise as Ilia-san looked at her. 

Queen: Ilia, what is the meaning of this!? 

Ilia: Do you still got something to say, Mother? 

The queen was unable to continue speaking well against Ilia-san's menacing look. 

Ilia: Looks like you don't. In that case... 

MC: ...!

Ilia-san pulled my shoulder with his long arm. 

Ilia: We'll be excusing ourselves. 

As he sounded unbaffled, Ilia-san took me with him with his strong arm.

When I looked behind me, the queen looked at Ilia-san's back dumbfounded...

After the queen was left dumfounded by Ilia-san's strong attitude, we left the dining hall.

Ilia: Shall we go to that hill?

MC: Eh... 

Ilia-san held my hand and placed a soft kiss on it. His sudden words and gestures made my cheeks blush. As I blinked many times, I reflected on his words.

He pulled me towards him by the back of my neck with his long arm.
