Chapter 6 - Sudden Caller

Among the hustle and bustle, I was focused on my awareness of our connected hands... While I wasn't saying anything, Inami-kun tilted his head to the side worriedly. 

Inami: Are you feeling unwell?  

MC: No, not at all. 

Inami: Ah... Could it be that you're tired? Sorry. I'm the only one that's having fun. 

When Inami-kun furrowed his brow apologetically, I frantically shook my head. 

MC: I'm having fun too.

When two men with tattoos suddenly appeared in front of us... Inami-kun didn't flinch at all as his shoulders dropped wearily. 

Inami: Even though I just wanted to spend the day in peace. 

Man 1: What are you saying! We're not letting you off from our match! Today's the day we're going to win...! Take this!

When the man energetically attacked with a kick, Inami-kun suddenly stopped his foot.

I was surprised by how flawless he looked as he was his usual calm self.

The other man shouted angrily and faced Inami-kun. 

Inami: I'm not running away... What'll you do if you get a girl involved? Men are supposed to be protecting women. Scaring a girl like this makes you a failure of a man. 

Man 1: Not yet...!

Inami: Geez... Aren't you listening?

When he explained that to me with a troubled look, the men behind him got up and spoke.

Man 2: That's because Inami is unbeatable in this area!

When the man said that triumphantly for some reason, Inami-kun shrugged his shoulders.

Man 1: We'll definitely win next time! Just you wait!

There were many white kites swimming through the vast blue sky... A few days later since I've been staying at Inami-kun's castle... With my departure day coming tomorrow in the early afternoon, Inami-kun invited me to go to the kite gathering. 

Inami: Ah, MC-chan, you're doing pretty well.

At the end of the long string, Inami-kun's kite has been gliding up high more than anyone else's in the blue sky.
