Chapter 5 - Honest Feelings

When we headed to where Ichigo-kun pointed at, we heard the voices of children mixed in with the sound of the wind. 

??: ...Broooother...!

MC: Juri-kun... That voice just now...!

Juri: Yeah, I heard it! It's my brother... It was Mizore's voice!!

When we looked towards the area where the voice was coming from, we saw 5 people coming out from the low ground where a landslide had happened. 

(What a relief! They're all okay...) 

Juri: I'll come get you, so wait there!

As soon as he said that, Juri-kun ran towards his brothers. After pulling up all of his brothers with his robust arms, Juri-kun hugged them. 

Juri: You idiots! I was so worried...!!

Mizore: Brother... 

I became relieved from that scene... 

After Juri-kun saved his brothers peacefully, they took us to the yeti's village. 

Juri: I'm sorry about my brothers. 

The yeti that was two times bigger than Juri-kun deeply lowered his head apologetically. 

Yeti: I didn't think that my own son was involved with the children of the royal family. I'm sorry... that something like this has happened. 

Juri-kun smiled at the yeti that was hanging his head down. 

Juri: It's embarrassing, but I'm feeling uncool too. Looks like we both need to watch over them more closely.

Juri-kun's broad smile that was like the sun made my cheeks warm.

Juri: R-Really? Don't push yourself. 

Feeling embarrassed, I looked down. My heart was pounding loudly...

In the afternoon...

Just like what Juri-kun promised, he took his brothers to the beach and started making shaved ice. Juri-kun even handed out shaved ice to the townspeople that gathered around to watch one after another. 

(It's become so crowded so suddenly. Everyone is smiling and they all look happy.) 

The townspeople that were smiling surrounded Juri-kun and the others as they were pleasantly chatting with each other. Knowing about how much Juri-kun's family is loved by the people gave me a warm feeling. 

Ichigo: Princess, you should eat some shaved ice too! I'll go get some for you!

MC: Okay, I'll have some. 

Mizore: Big Bro Ichigo, no fair! I'll get some for the princess!

Ichigo: Mizore, you'll probably just trip and spill it all. 

Juri: Hey, move it, move it!

When Juri-kun came over here with some shaved ice in hand, he got in between me and his brothers with a bright smile. 

Juri: Let's trade places now. You guys can make the shaved ice for everyone. 

When Ichigo-kun and the others became happy about making the shaved ice, they instantly agreed and ran off. 

Juri: This is for you! A special rainbow shaved ice!

MC: Wow!

I accepted the rainbow-colored shaved ice that Juri-kun handed me. When I scooped up some of the vividly colored ice and put it in my mouth... 

MC: ...So cold! But, it's really good!

Just when it was sweet, it turned sour as there was some carbonation in my mouth. The changing flavors of the rainbow shaved ice in my mouth was like the various expressions that Juri-kun has shown... 

(It's really good, I feel that I can eat a lot of it.) 

As I stuffed my cheeks with the shaved ice happily, Juri-kun happily smiles while watching me.

Juri: Haha. You're pretty cute!

When Juri-kun bent over as he said that, he messily petted my head. 

MC: Juri-kun...!

Feeling embarrassed, my cheeks turned red.

Juri: Hehe... It's thanks to you that nothing serious happened. 

That smile looked the most gentle and warm out of all the other expressions that Juri-kun has shown up till now... 

Juri: Those guys have gotten attached to you as well... Come play with us again. I would like to see you more than anything... 

When Juri-kun's face got closer, he placed a kiss against my cheek. As my heart couldn't help, but become noisy from that soft sensation, I deeply nodded...
