Chapter 6 - Refusal

As the bright sunlight shined on the gloomy backstreets... I hugged Makoto-kun without thinking. 

Makoto: ...Let go!!

Makoto-kun roughly shook me off and looked at the man. 

Makoto: I will kill that man here.. Haha!

There was a mysterious light in Makoto-kun's blank eyes. 

MC: Stop...!

Makoto: You don't have the right to stop me!!

Smiling, crying and anger... His voice that was filled with a mix of those emotions felt like a stab in the heart. 

MC: Please... stop...

When Makoto-kun turned towards me... 

Makoto: ...Then, I'll just die here. 

Makoto-kun murmured that fearfully as if it meant nothing.

I became reflected in Makoto-kun's eyes that were filled with distortion...

Makoto-kun's voice echoed in my head.

I said his name as I managed to squeeze out my voice. 

Makoto: I have been living for revenge. If you're going to tell me to stop that... Then, I should just die here, right?

I looked at Makoto-kun in the eye.

After Makoto-kun laughed, he placed his hand on his chin and started thinking about something.

He looked at me as there was a mysterious light in his eyes. When I got caught in that light, I felt my body being possessed.

Once Makoto-kun turned around and began walking, my feet moved on their own and followed him.

Makoto: That's a nice face... I love it.

When Makoto-kun turned his head towards me, my face became pale because of his terrifying expression. As Makoto-kun looked at me, he made a satisfied smile... 

Last Chapter - Everything

Makoto: If you become my reason for living instead of those guys, I'll stop my revenge.

I was taken to Makoto-kun's room when we returned. 

(I can't move my body...) 

I sat in the chair next to the glass case that had the spiders and butterflies in it. The master of the stretched-out spider webs searched for it's prey as it squirmed around. 

Makoto: Hey, MC. Do you love me? 

I heard Makoto-kun's affectionate voice in my ear. 

MC: ...

(I feel lightheaded...) 

Due to Makoto-kun's power, I couldn't control my body and my consciousness was becoming faint. 

Makoto: MC... Did you hear me? 

MC: Makoto-kun... 

With nothing good to say, I said his name, but... 

Makoto: ...You don't love me? In that case... 

Makoto-kun took out a knife from his clothes and held it against his neck. 

MC: Stop...! Please...!

Makoto: ...Kuku! Ahahaha! Such a cute face!

His piercing laugh echoed throughout the room. 

Makoto: Suffer more for my sake!

MC: ... 

After calming down from laughing, Makoto-kun approached me with his appealing eyes. 

Makoto: Aside from revenge... My reason for living was to kill those guys. But, you... You said that you would become my reason for living. That made me happy. So... Don't go disappearing in front of me. 

I was reflected in his dim eyes while I was in a daze.

In his eyes, I was smiling. 

Makoto: Yes, that's a nice smile. 

He made a satisfied smile... Suddenly, the butterflies were released from the insect cage and were put into a glass cage. 

Makoto: Now that I have you with me... I don't need these guys. 

When the butterflies were flying freely, they were lured towards the spider webs next. 

MC: ...!

After seeing that scene, I looked down. 

Makoto: Your face when it's strained in pain... It gives me such a great thrill. 

When he walked over to me, his face approached mine and he touched it from beside me. 

Makoto: That's enough to make me look forward to living from here on. 

Along with Makoto-kun's whisper, his sigh invaded my ear.

MC: ...!

Makoto: Are you trying to resist...? T-That can't be it... 

MC: Makoto-kun... Stop... 

A single tear fell my eyes. Then... 

Makoto: ... 

His eyes trembled the next moment. 

MC: Makoto... -kun... 

Makoto: ...I see. 

He gently wiped the tears from my cheek. 

Makoto: I'll stop. Using my power like this isn't fun. 

Ten, when Makoto-kun removed his hand from me, I regained control over my body. 

MC: Ah... 

I lost my balance just as I became surprised by the feeling of controlling my own body again. 

Makoto: Watch out. 

Makoto-kun lightly held me. 

Makoto: You shouldn't let yourself get hurt, MC. After all, the only one who can hurt you is me. Having you by my side from now on... I'm looking forward to that.

I thought about how that's going to happen from here on as I was being held in Makoto-kun's arms. I prayed that light would quickly shine in Makoto-kun's darkness and make it bright... Feeling lightheaded, I couldn't think on what I should do now...
