A few days later since then... 

When we wanted to see Procyon-kun's mother, we went to visit her. His mother was looking out the window with Procyon-kun's father, the younger brother of the king of this kingdom. 

MC: Go on, Procyon-kun. 

Procyon: ...Y-Yeah...!

As Procyon-kun was filled with expectations and nervousness, he presented the white flower bouquet to his mother. 

Procyon: U-Um, these are for you, Mom...

Procyon's Mom: My... How pretty! Thank you, Procyon. 

Procyon: ...!! Yes, Mom!

When his mother happily smiled, she hugged Procyon-kun...

In front of his mother and father, Procyon-kun showed a smile that was livelier than usual...

Procyon: I picked these flowers with MC-chan! But, then, something troubling happened. 

Procyon's Mom: Something troubling? 

MC: His brother was about to reach out to a red fruit that he shouldn't be eating... But, Procyon-kun stopped him before anything dangerous happened, he was being a proper big brother. 

Procyon's Dad: I see... Good job, Procyon!

Procyon's Mom: You have already become a splendid big brother. 

Procyon: ...!

From their smiles, Procyon-kun blinked and nodded energetically. 

Procyon: ...Yeah! I'm a big brother, so I need to protect my little brother properly!

Those words sounded more reliable than all the other words that Procyon-kun has said up till now.

As he puffed his chest out after making that declaration, he looked very admirably proud...

After returning to the castle from the hospital, we've spent some time together in the room. After coming back from the hospital, Procyon-kun has been making an adorable smile the whole time. 

(He must be really happy from being praised by his parents.)

MC: Isn't that great, Procyon-kun? 

Procyon: ...Yeah! It's because you talked about me to my parents!

Procyon-kun ran over to me and sat on top of my lap. 

Procyon: ... 

While he stretched out his legs, he held my hand tightly. 

(Procyon-kun?) 

MC: What's wrong? 

Procyon: ...Mom... It'd be nice if we could play together again quickly... 

MC: Are you still feeling lonely? 

Then, his face that was looking down turned towards me energetically. 

Procyon: No, I'm not alone anymore. Since Mom and Dad were looking at me because I was being a big brother. So... I'm going to protect my brother and Mom from here on... 

Just as he murmured that with serious expression, his cheeks blushed in embarrassment the next moment. 

Procyon: Also... 

MC: ...? 

Procyon: ...Won't you look at me too, MC-chan? 

While looking up at me from below, Procyon-kun's eyes shook with expectations. 

MC: Yes, I'll look at you properly. 

Procyon: Yay!

MC: ...Procyon-kun!? 

When he suddenly hugged me, I lost a bit of my balance and fell down while sitting. 

Procyon: Hey, won't you stay by my side from now on...? 

When I lightly petted Procyon-kun's head as he was clinging to my body, his soft hair that had the scent of the sun slid between my fingers. 

MC: ...If that's what you want, then I'll stay with you. 

Procyon: Really, really!? 

MC: ...Yes. 

Procyon: Thank you! MC-chan!

As he narrowed his eyes with a broad smile, his face turned into a healthy shade of pink. 

Procyon: That's a promise you must, mu~st keep, so let's stay together from now on forever!

MC: ...!

When Procyon-kun hugged me with great force, I fell on my back next. 

Procyon: MC-chan, I love you!!

Procyon-kun placed a small light kiss against my cheek. 

MC: Me too. 

That carefree smile gave me a warm feeling. Filled with happiness, we smiled at each other...
