Chapter 6 - Him in the Flower Field

3 days later, we went to the flower field that was near the castle. The reason was... 

Ritz: I'm really glad that I talked to you, MC. If it were just me, I never would've thought about giving Grandma the flower that remind her of Grandpa as a present. 

MC: That's because I was listening to you as you were talking about your grandmother. 

The reason why we came to the flower field was... As a way to congratulate his grandmother, I suggested that he should give her favorite flower that was memorable to her. 

MC: But, aside from your grandmother, the late king sounds like an amazing person too. He would personally pick the flower himself in the field instead of going to a flower shop for his beloved...

Chapter 7 - Him in the Sunlight

The memorable flower that the late king would give to the queen... To search for that rare flower, I looked for it everywhere in the flower field. 

MC: ...I'm not having much luck in finding it. I'm going to try looking more further down. 

Ritz: Okay... 

MC: ...? 

Ritz: ...No, it's nothing. 

When Ritz-san shook his head and looked at me, he smiled bashfully. 

Ritz: Really, thank you, going through all this trouble into searching for Grandma... I'll do my best too, so I'm sure that we'll find it!

MC: ...Yes! Let's make your grandmother smile.

Then, by the time it was early evening, we finally found a bunch of that certain flower in bloom. 

Ritz: It's this flower!!

The yellow flowers' small petals gently swayed from the wind. 

MC: That's good. 

Ritz: ... 

Ritz-san made an unusually meek expression as he looked at the flowers. 

(Ritz-san...?) 

When Ritz-san silently crouched down in place, he picked one of the flowers. Then...

When he got up, he softly adorned my hair with that flower.

As the sunlight was shining on Ritz-san's face, he somehow looked very gallant that my heart started being a little noisy. 

Ritz: ...When Grandma was younger, she was like me and had lots of lovers.

After he caressed my hair affectionately, Ritz-san removed his hand.

When he stopped talking for a moment... 

Ritz: Being with you... made me understand how she felt a little. 

He continued speaking very softly. 

MC: ... 

Unsure on what to say, I couldn't do anything, but look at him... 

Ritz: Ah! What am I saying!

Ritz-san scratched his head to gloss things over. 

Ritz: Now then, let's hurry!! It's going to get dark.

MC: O-Okay... 

Then, we started picking the flowers...

I still couldn't come up with the name of this sweet feeling that was slowly beginning to come forth... 

Last Chapter - The Mischievous Him

The next day, his grandmother's birthday has arrived. When Ritz-san and I called his grandmother over to the courtyard... 

Ritz: Grandma, Happy Birthday!

Queen: My...! These flowers are...

Ritz-san softly placed the yellow flower crown on his grandmother's white head. It was something that we made with the memorable flowers that we worked hard into searching yesterday. Then, a tear was showing in his grandmother's eyes that were the same color as Ritz-san's. 

Queen: How nostalgic... I still remember him even now. The time when he would give me these flowers like this... These flowers are hard to find at this time, so you must've gone through a lot of trouble into finding them. 

Ritz: Kind of! But, I had MC looking for them with me. 

When he slowly turned towards me, Ritz-san said my name. His cheeks were faintly red... 

Queen: You did...? I see... Fufu. 

As the queen looked at me standing beside Ritz-san, she happily smiled. Then, she returned her gaze towards Ritz-san... 

Queen: I see... To think that the Ritz, who used to be so small... Have you come to know what true love is? 

Ritz: Grandma? 

MC: ...!

Ritz-san and I looked at each other. 

Ritz: ...

MC: ...

His grandmother's words made my cheeks warm. As our gazes were entwined with each other, Ritz-san seemed puzzled... When Ritz-san turned towards his grandmother, he smiled carefreely. 

Ritz: Geez! Grandma, what are you saying, me falling in love, how many times does this make!

MC: T-That's right. 

Despite agreeing to that, my heart was throbbing. Thus, the celebration for his grandmother succeeded peacefully.

Then, after his grandmother returned to her room, we returned to the castle as well. Although, when it suddenly became just the two of us, the atmosphere was... 

Ritz: ...

MC: ... 

(...How troubling, we've been like this since earlier.) 

The awkward silence was only making my heart noisy.

Ritz: Can I... do it soon? I... It's strange, I've never felt this way when I'm with other girls. When I'm with you, my heart is strangely going fast for some reason... 

MC: R-Ritz-san? 

The sudden action made me unable to do anything else, except look up at Ritz-san's face. Then... 

Ritz: ...Geez, you, guess it can't be helped. 

MC: Ah... 

Just as I felt his breath even closer, something soft touched my cheek. It was Ritz-san's lips... It wasn't like that light greeting when they touched my forehead, it wasn't that gentle either... It was a heated kiss...

Ritz: Right now, I want you to let me off for this much, but... You better prepare yourself for what's coming next. Also, don't call me by Ritz-san, just call me by my name, Ritz. 

MC: Y-Your name... Ritz...? 

I said his name as my lips were trembling nervously. 

Ritz: Okay, MC. 

When he kissed my cheek again with a satisfied smile... The next moment, I was in a warm embrace...
