As the clear blue sky was reflected on the transparent high leveled ocean, it stood out beautifully. When I found a ring on the beach, I put my hands together and closed my eyes.
MC: ...
The area became covered in a bright light.
(So bright...)
The next moment, when I opened my eyes, what fell onto the beach was...
??: ...Uu...
MC: Are you okay!?
When I ran over to him, I gasped in surprise. The prince didn't have legs, but instead, a tail fin covered in beautiful scales.

I stared at that form that I've only seen in picture books. On his handsome features, his long eyelashes slightly shook.

Chapter 2 - Eyes Watching
After I woke up the prince that had a mermaid form, he dove into the ocean right after he said those words...
I went to that same beach again. As I looked at the sparkling cobalt blue ocean, I stood at the white smooth beach.

His tail fin that was covered in beautiful scales, his hair that was blue like the ocean and his clear eyes, I couldn't forget about them...

When I thought of that to myself, I remembered when I first met him.

When I softly murmured that, the scent of the sea water got carried by the wind.
Then, a few hours later ever since I came to the beach...

Chapter 2 - The Second Human
No matter what, I wanted to see Sarasa-san again, so I went to the beach again.

As I looked at the cobalt blue ocean, I searched for Sarasa-san. The waves were calm today as well and the sunlight that was making the grains of sand shine hit my eyes.

I waited many hours for Sarasa-san at the beach, but I was unable to meet him like that day in the end. While feeling that same sadness from that day again, I sighed.
(Still, I was sure that Sarasa-san would appear at this beach again.)
Curious, I looked at the distant never-ending ocean.
Although... After a while, Sarasa-san didn't appear and all I heard were the sounds of the waves at the silent beach.

Chapter 4 - A Human and a Mermaid

Sarasa-san looked at me with a soft smile...
MC: You wanted to see me...?
Sarasa: Yeah, I wanted to see you.
After telling me that clearly, my heartbeat became fast.
MC: Sarasa-san...
Sarasa: You don't need to call me by "-san". Since we're talking like this.
Sarasa-san pouted in dissatisfaction a little.
MC: Ah... Then, Sarasa-kun?

Sarasa: My mother and sister hate humans too. They would tell me how scary humans are while growing up. Even so, I don't think all humans are bad.

Sarasa: Hmm... I'd be lying if I say that I'm not scared of all of them. I'm careful whenever I go above the ocean after all. But, when I met that human, he didn't find me strange or scary.
MC: The person on the ship that you mentioned earlier?
I remembered when Sarasa-kun was talking about his memories.
Sarasa: On that day, when I was looking up from the ocean, there was some kind of huge cluster above the ocean. When I showed my face from the water surface... I found out that cluster was a ship. When I became surprised from how big it was, my eyes met with the human that was on the ship.
MC: I see...
(He probably wasn't a bad person. I'm glad that nothing bad happened though...)
When I thought of that, I noticed that Sarasa-kun was staring at me and I looked back at him.
Sarasa: That person was strange. Since then, he's been looking after me. He doesn't trouble me and he's not mean to me, but... He's kind of noisy.
MC: He must be a kind person.
Sarasa: Kind? ...I guess so, I would say that about him.
As Sarasa-kun thought about that person, he broke into a smile as he chuckled. Then...
Sarasa: When I met you for the first time, I didn't think that you were scary.
