Chapter 6 - Beast Form

When Vairy-san's body became enveloped by a bright pale light... I desperately tried reaching out for him, but a strong wind pushed me back and I couldn't get close.

MC: Vairy... -san? 

Over there wasn't the Vairy-san from before. His entire body was covered with dark red fur and he had strong long horns. As I was perplexed, his black controlling eyes were looking at me.

He showed his fangs as he was breathing roughly.

At that moment, he suddenly ran over here with tremendous speed.

The next thing I saw was Vairy-san about to swing down his claws towards me from above... 

Chapter 7 - The Same Warmth

Vairy-san suddenly pulled me and the next moment, my head was placed against his chest.

The wolves' fangs pierced Vairy-san one after another as he was protecting me.

Vairy: ...Don't do something so reckless! Why must you do that!

MC: ...I'm sorry. 

When I became despondent, he gently placed his hand on my head like always. 

Vairy: I'm glad that you're all right...

The warmth that I felt from his hand was the same warmth of Vairy-san's...

Last Chapter - The Start of Love

To treat Vairy-san's injuries, we returned to the castle. At first, Vairy-san stubbornly refused to go back to the castle, so with the condition of not letting him be seen by anyone, I could treat his injuries.

I carefully touched his body. 

Vairy: I'm fine... The wound that I got from Jess has healed up when I turned into my beast form.

MC: P-Please wait!

I stood in between Vairy-san and the butler. 

Butler: MC-sama... My deepest apologies for getting you involved with this. But, it's going to cause problems to our kingdom afterwards.

Vairy: ...Let it go. 

Vairy-san placed his hand on my shoulder and said that softly. 

Vairy: It's fine. 

MC: It isn't...! Vairy-san, their reason for attacking you isn't normal...!

Butler: MC-sama. Is that what you think...? 

(Eh...?) 

Suddenly, I became the center of attention. The butler looked at me appealingly.

MC: ...That's right. Please don't attack Vairy-san...

Butler: From the start... I wasn't going to forgive you. You have my gratitude for waking up Vairy-sama. ...I'll pretend that I didn't see this. 

The butler told the castle guards to lower their weapons. 

Vairy: ... 

Butler: Even so, Vairy-sama... You can no longer show yourself as a prince of this kingdom. 

Vairy: ...Yeah, I know. 

Butler: Your kindness, we know about it well... Please, be happy. 

After saying that, the butler and the castle guards left the room. 

(Butler...) 

Vairy: ...You saved me again. 

MC: I didn't... 

Vairy: What am I supposed to do from here on... 

MC: ...!

I softly placed my hand on Vairy-san's cheek as he was looking down. 

MC: ...Shall we look for a way to lift the curse together? We might still have some time... 

Vairy: ...True love. Do you believe in that fairytale? 

MC: ...So, you did know about it. 

Vairy-san placed his face against my chest. 

Vairy: It's strange. Your scent is really reassuring... 

Vairy-san gently placed his hand on my cheek.

Vairy: I don't want anyone to hurt you, MC. ...But, I want you to stay by my side. 

MC: ...I will. Because I. 

The moment I was about to say it, I took a deep breath and continued speaking. 

MC: I love you, Vairy-san. 

Vairy: ...Even when I'm in this form? Also, I don't know what to do from now on. 

When I nodded in return, I hugged him again and placed a kiss against his forehead. Vairy-san hesitated, but he rubbed his face against my chest again affectionately. 

Vairy: Even though I can't say it well. Thinking of you right now makes it feel like this is the start of something.
