Chapter 1 - Unknown Encounters

Kingdom of Wonders, Wondermare, Sleep Valley*, May... Along the developed road, there were rows of tall buildings and lots of various shops. 

T/N: Dormouse's territory

Riel: What a lively town... 

Walking beside me, Riel-san was looking around curiously. 

MC: It sure is. 

I couldn't take my eyes off the side of Riel-san's face. His clear skin and beautiful eyes that were like crystals... 

(Riel-san might stand out a little in town.) 

The divine air around him was slightly showing within the modern atmosphere of this town. 

Riel: Hm? MC-san, what's wrong? 

MC: Eh? Nothing...

(I shouldn't. It's rude to stare at him.) 

Just as I reflected on myself for staring and moved forward, I headed towards the tower that was in the middle of town...

When we arrived in the center of town, Riel-san and I looked up at the tall buildings in the area around. 

Riel: Wow... There are so many tall towers. I've heard about them, but it's amazing to see the real thing. 

The sunlight reflected on the glass windows of the tall towers. Looking at them, his eyes were shining brightly as well. 

MMC: There are lots of interesting shops too, would you like to look around later? 

Riel: Yeah, let's go look! Fufu. I'm looking forward to it. 

Towards my guidance, Riel-san smiled carefreely. 

Riel: Ah. Hey, MC-san. What's that over there? 

MC: Yes. That's called an electric bulletin board-

(This might be the first time... that I've seen Riel-san make such an innocent expression.) 

While I answered his questions, we headed to where we were staying. He showed a smile on his innocent face that made him slightly different than how he is in the forest... 

Chapter 2 - Reason for Visiting

After leaving our luggage at our lodgings, we went into town again. The bustling streets, stores and restaurants were overflowing with smiles. 

Riel: Hey, look. 

Riel-san pointed at a bookshop. 

Riel: Isn't that the "Sleeping Lily"?

At the entrance of the bookshop, there was a specially issued magazine about the Sleeping Lily on display. 

(The Sleeping Lily...) 

The Sleeping Lily is a flower that blooms in the valleys of Sleep Valley in the Kingdom of Wonders. If two people sleep together while being enveloped in it's special scent, they'll have the same dream. 

Riel: What a beautiful flower. I want to hurry and see the real thing. I'm looking forward tomorrow. 

Riel-san looked at the magazine cover that had a picture of the Sleeping Lily with it's blue petals unfolded on it. 

MC: Yes, I'm looking forward to it. 

He came here because he was interested in the mysterious flower that doesn't grow in his own kingdom. Since there has been a decrease of poachers in the forest lately, he came to visit as both his day off and an investigation. 

Riel: But, I'm glad that you came here with me. I would've surely end up getting lost if it were just me. 

Riel-san narrowed his eyes as he looked at me.

MC: I wanted to come here too. 

Riel: I see. Then, that's really good timing. 

After saying that as he happily smiled, he looked at the cover of the magazine. 

- I'm glad to be of help to you (☼)

MC: I'm glad to be of help to you. 

Riel: Thank you. I'm happy that we're getting the chance to enjoy ourselves together. 

After saying that with a warm smile, he looked at the cover of the magazine.

Riel: "Current Popular Dating Spot" and "Enjoy a Special Time with Your Loved One"... I heard that if you sleep while being enveloped in the Sleeping Lily's scent, you'll get the "best experience"... That's why there are a lot of couples. 

Looking at the magazine cover, there were a lot of features that were included for couples.

Just as my heart skipped a beat, it started going fast.

As I was unable to bring myself to ask him, I just looked at him... 

Chapter 3 - A Place I Want to Go to

Riel: The truth is. Inviting you here because I needed a guide... wasn't the only reason. When I heard he rumor about the Sleeping Lily, your face was the first thing that I thought of. I thought it'd be nice to have the same dream together with you.

Caught under Riel-san's gaze, I was unable to say anything as I looked back at him. Just as my loud heartbeat was getting faster... 

Riel: We should get going soon. 

Riel-san looked towards the street. 

Riel: Actually, there's a place that I wanted to go to with you. 

MC: A place that you wanted to go to? 

Riel: Yeah. Since we're here, we shouldn't waste this chance to just see the Sleeping Lily. If you'd like, come hang out with me. 

MC: Okay. But, where...? 

When I asked that, Riel-san opened the guidebook. 

Riel: Since we're going around the town of Sleep Valley, shall we go to the Madness* territory next? I've heard about it from the birds in Hyule. There's an interesting cafe in the town of Madness. 

T/N: Mad Hatter's territory

Since he's the prince of the Forest Kingdom, he's able to talk to the spirits and animals that reside in the forest of his kingdom. 

MC: The birds went to Madness too? 

Riel: No. It seems like the travelers that stayed at the forest were talking about it. They told me that it's really unusual and interesting. 

Since Riel-san wanted a lot of people to know about the forest, there's an area in the Forest Kingdom that's free for outside travelers to visit. 

Riel: I've always been curious about what the birds have told me.

As he said that with a smile, I...

MC: I want to see it too. 

Riel: Fufu. I had a feeling that you would say that. 

Riel-san made an innocent smile. 

- What kind of cafe is it? (☽)

MC: What kind of cafe is it? 

Riel: Well, the birds are pretty mischievous. So, they didn't give me the full details. 

Riel-san made a troubled smile towards my words.

MC: Since it's something that travelers from various kingdoms have talked about, it must be a very unusual cafe. 

Riel: Right? That's why I'm really curious about it. 

MC: Then, let's go check it out. 

We left the bookshop and started walking into the bustling street. 

MC: But, it's a little surprising. I didn't think that you would like such a lively metropolitan place... 

As I narrowed my eyes from the sunlight that was shining through the gaps of the trees, I recalled how Riel-san talks to the deerlike spirits called the Pokkle. 

Riel: Even though I want people to know about the forest, it's not all I think about. Also... 

Riel-san looked at the streets and spoke. 

Riel: Thinking about how I wanted lots of people to know about the forest of Hyule that I love. Just like me, there are others that cherish something... I want to know about the civilization that other kingdoms have cultivated properly and loved.  

As he narrowed his eyes that had a strong look in them, he looked at me. 

Riel: That feeling got stronger from spending time with you. 

MC: Why? 

Riel: It's because I wanted to properly know about the outside world that you live in. 

MC: Riel-san... 

(To think he felt that way.)

His clear voice sunk into my heart and spread out thoroughly.

MC: I'm happy. 

My honest feelings turned into the words that I've spoken. 

Riel: That's good. You being happy makes me really happy. 

Riel-san smiled as he blushed a little.

MC: ...

Despite that I was overcome with happiness, I tried searching for the words to say. 

Riel: ...MC-san? 

MC: Ah... I'm sorry. I never thought that you would say something like that. 

When I said that softly, Riel-san chuckled with a smile.

Riel: Now then, shall we go? Let's enjoy ourselves to the fullest today. 

MC: Yes. 

When I nodded deeply, I looked at Riel-san. In the warm sunlight, I was getting a feeling that I was going to enjoy spending time wtih him as my heart was going fast excitedly... 

Chapter 4 - At the Strange Cafe

After having our fill of Sleep Valley, we headed to Madness... 

-Flashback-

Riel: I've heard about it from the birds in Hyule. There's an interesting cafe in the town of Madness. 

-Flashback-

At the cafe that Riel-san wanted to go to, it looked like a scene in a dream once we saw it up close. 

Riel: Wow... The teapots are pouring the tea on their own. Could this be... magic? 

After taking our seats, his eyes were shining as he looked around the inside of the cafe. 

MC: It's amazing, just like what the rumors said. 

Riel: It really is... Wah! That surprised me. 

A table suddenly appeared and came up with baked sweets on it. 

Riel: Is this magic too? Or is it alive...? 

As Riel-san was looking at a cookie cautiously, I broke into a smile. 

Riel: The Kingdom of Wonders really does have so many strange and interesting things! That's right. There's one more place taht I wanted to go to. You see- ...? Why are you smiling? 

MC: I'm sorry. It's just that you're acting different than usual... Today, you've been kind of cute. 

Riel: Eh? Cute? 

Suddenly, the smile on Riel-san's face disappeared. 

(Could it be that he's mad...?) 

MC: I'm sorry. That was a little rude of me, calling you cute. 

Riel: Ah... It's okay. 

When he said that in a panic as he looked at me, he lightly shook his head. 

Riel: I'm the one who should be apologizing. It's not like I'm mad or anything. ...Don't laugh after hearing this, okay? I want to go to the March Blow* amusement park. Just when I was about to tell you that, you called me cute... and I became embarrassed. 

T/N: Marchia's territory

Riel-san lowered his eyes as his cheeks were turning red. 

Riel: I didn't want you to see me being embarrassed or sulking. Especially when I was trying to hide my embarrassment. I didn't want you to notice, but you caught me off guard...

Riel: I'm really sorry. 

As he frowned, Riel-san looked straight at me.

MC: It's okay.

MC: But, I'm surprised. Since you're usually so calm, Riel-san. 

Riel: Calm... I guess so. It's not much to think about. 

Riel-san made a troubled smile. 

- I'm relieved (☼)

MC: I'm relieved. But, I really shouldn't have called a man, cute. 

Riel: No. I was having so much fun today that I got carried away. 

Riel-san scratched his cheek bashfully.

Riel: Hm? Is something wrong? 

Looking at me smiling, he tilted his head to the side. 

MC: No, it's nothing. 

When the teacups suddenly started rotating just as I was about to pick it up in a panic, we looked at each other and watched the joyful scene... 

Chapter 5 - An Unfortunate Event

After we've enjoyed the dreamlike moment in the strange cafe in Madness, we headed to the March Blow amusement park that Riel-san wanted to go to... 

Riel: It's kind of a lively town.

When we entered March Blow, we heard lively music and joyful laughter all over the place. Riel-san looked at the town curiously. 

MC: I'm sure that the amusement park will be fun too. 

Riel: Yeah. I'm looking forward to it. 

When Riel-san narrowed his eyes happily and looked at me, I...

MC: I'm looking forward to it too. 

Riel: Fufu. Just like in the cafe earlier, I'm sure that lots of strange and fun things are going to happen. Let's enjoy them together. 

When he said, "together", with a broad smile, my heartbeat went fast. 

- What would you like to ride on? (☽)

MC: Once we get to the amusement park, what would you like to ride on? 

Riel: Let's see... 

Riel-san looked at me softly. 

Riel: I still haven't decided, but... As long as I'm with you, riding all of them will be fun.

After I nodded while getting a ticklish feeling, I asked him the question that's been on my mind. 

MC: Um, why do you want to go to the amusement park?

Riel: We don't have those kinds of fun places in Hyule... When I heard that they had some strange animals, I wanted to check it out. 

MC: Strange animals? 

Riel: I heard that there's a cat that likes to pull pranks, a mouse that's always sleeping and a scatterbrained rabbit. 

MC: A cat, a mouse and a rabbit...? 

(...Could he be talking about the mascots that gives out balloons?)

I heard that the animal mascots that gives away balloons were modeled after the princes in the Kingdom of Wonders and they weren't just popular with the kids, but with the adults as well. 

MC: That's... 

As I was thinking about how I should explain to him that they were mascots and not animals, I became silent. Riel-san's eyes shined from all the things in the area. 

(I can't tell Riel-san that there are people inside them when he's being like this...) 

MC: That... sounds exciting. 

Riel: Yeah!

As Riel-san was smiling without a clue, I returned a smile while feeling a little uneasy. Then, after a while... 

MC: We should almost be at the entrance to the amusement park. 

When we looked up at the ferris wheel and the roller coaster lane, we hurried to the entrance. Although, when we got a closer look at them, they weren't moving at all... 

Riel: "Temporarily closed"... 

When we saw the sign, we stopped. 

MC: No way... 

After seeing the clear message that said, "we'll be closed for a while due to remodeling", we became sad. 

Riel: I see... It's too bad, but it can't be helped. 

He sounded very disappointed behind that smile. 

(Looks like it won't be possible. Since it's most likely that Riel-san won't be able to come here for a while...) 

Since he protects the forest as the prince, he's unable to go outside the kingdom that much... 

(I wonder if there's something I can do.) 

Just as I thought of that while he was looking inside the park disappointedly beside me, at that moment...

MC: Um, Riel-san. 

When I got an idea, I looked up at him and spoke...
