Chapter 5 - Wearing the Dress

The hem of the white classic dress lightly fluttered...

(I'm so nervous...)

The dress that I chose for the photoshoot felt exhilarating as I opened the curtains. 

MC: What... do you think? 

The delicate lace on the dress swayed as I slowly walked towards Byakuyou-san. While looking at me, he softly smiled. 

Byakuyou: You look the most beautiful in the world, MC. As expected of my proud bride. 

His straightforward words made my cheeks heat up. 

MC: Thank you... But, you're overexaggerating. 

When I looked down in embarrassment, I sensed Byakuyou-san closing the distance between us...

Byakuyou: Geez, you're being too modest. 

After he whispered that, he lightly kissed my forehead. The soft sensation made my cheeks heat up even more.

Byakuyou: Shall we arrange your hair next? 

MC: Yes. 

Byakuyou: Well then, I'll go on ahead. It's an outfit of a lifetime. Let me take my time to see your finished form later. 

With a soft gaze, his fingers gently slid through my hair. Becoming aware of my future with Byakuyou-san, my heart only went fast affectionately... 

Last Chapter - Walking Towards the Future with Him

As I lightly held up the embroidered dress, I slowly walked down the stairs... With my hair tied up, the veil that I was wearing lightly swayed on my head.

Byakuyou: Now then, I'll be heading over to the photoshoot.

After Byakuyou-san parted from me to finish preparations, I headed to where the photos were going to be taken. In the vast hall at the bottom of the stairs, I saw that the photography equipment was set up.

(Where's Byakuyou-san?) 

By the time I walked to the landing of the staircase while looking for him... 

??: Found you, my bride.

When I suddenly heard that whisper from behind... 

MC: ...!

Just as I turned around, my hand was gently held and the elegant scent of plum blossoms emitted from behind. 

MC: Byakuyou-san, your hair... 

Some of his long hair was tied up beautifully and was sliding down his shoulders. 

Byakuyou: Since this is a rare chance, I thought about tying it up... What do you think? 

Byakuyou-san's hair that was tied up until now was undone with a swaying plum blossom accessory in it. The plum blossom accessory and his silky hair made him stand out gracefully...

As I was unable to take my eyes off Byakuyou-san, he looked at me and happily smiled again.

The moment that felt like we could only see each other felt very precious. 

MC: ...You look really nice. 

As my thoughts and his gaze were making my heart throb, when I told him how I felt, he softly chuckled. 

Byakuyou: Fufu, you saying that makes me happy. 

When he stood beside me, Byakuyou-san gently wrapped his arm around my shoulder. As he held my shoulder, our gazes entweined with each other within the close distance. 

(His arm is gentle... But...) 

His elegant arm felt masculine as it strongly supported me. As he was looking at me, there was a dignified look in his eyes. 

Byakuyou: I wanted to tell you earlier, but... You're very beautiful, MC. 

As Byakuyou-san whispered that, the gentle light from the stained-glass window shined on him. The gentle light around Byakuyou-san made my feelings overflow... 

MC: ...Thank you. 

The scenery that took me away from reality felt like something irreplaceable. 

(It feels like I'm having a real wedding ceremony with Byakuyou-san.)

Aside from the venue that was prepared for the photoshoot, standing beside Byakuyou-san like this made me so happy that I broke into a smile. 

Byakuyou: ...But, I'm feeling a little complicated.

When he whispered that affectionately, my heart lightly skipped a beat.

Byakuyou: I didn't think that you would say something like that. That's fine. I'll hold back for now. In return... Aside from the real thing, show more of your beautiful smile to only me starting from today. 

After he whispered that to me, his lips got closer to my ear...

Byakuyou: ...I love you, MC. 

When I slowly closed my eyes, he gently placed his lips over mine as if he was making a vow. The gentle warmth from his lips filled up my heart.
