Chapter 7 - His Determination

Being at the berry fields was fun, but...

MC: Um, Colorer-san... 

Colorer: G-Goodnight.

-Flashback-

By the time we returned, Colorer-san was acting strange. 

The next day too... 

(When I called out to him, he said he was busy... Did I do something? He's avoiding me...)

Feeling uneasy, I was moderately walking in the hallway by myself... 

Colorer: Ah... MC-san... 

MC: Colorer-san...!

When I unexpectedly encountered Colorer-san, we both stopped in the middle of the hallway. 

Colorer: MC-san... Are you not feeling well? 

MC: Eh... N-Not really...

Colorer: ...Alright. Okay!

Colorer-san hit his cheeks.

When Colorer-san said that, his eyes had some kind of determined look in them... 

Chapter 8 - Change of Pace

Colorer: ...Um, do you think that you can spend a little bit of your time with me?

After Colorer-san asked me that, we were confined in the kitchen for a long time the next day. Since Colorer-san was straining himself, I decided to make some tea at least. 

MC: If you'd like... Here. 

Colorer: ...Ah, thank you. 

When I spoke to Colorer-san while he was concentrating, he blushed instantly and accepted the tea in a panic. 

(He really is acting strange... Could it be that he's not feeling well...?) 

MC: Um, Colorer-san. Is it possible that... You're not feeling well? 

When I asked that to Colorer-san worriedly, he made a surprised look and shook his head. 

Colorer: N-Not at all! You're mistaken. 

MC: But... Your face is really red. 

(His face immediately turned red as he was saying that... Not to mention, he's really red...) 

Colorer: Um, uh... That's it! It's probably because I was in the bath for too long. Yes, that's definitely it.

MC: ...? 

I tilted my head to the side as if felt like he was dodging the question. Although, Colorer-san... 

Colorer: I-I know. This place is pretty hot, so let's take Soufflé on a walk for a change of pace. 

He got up as if he was trying to escape my persuasion.

I went to the berry fields with Colorer-san during Soufflé's walk. As the refreshing sweet and bitter breeze blew, Soufflé played in the field carefreely. 

MC: It's a good thing that the weather is nice. 

Colorer: Y-Yeah. It is... 

MC: Why the change of pace? 

Colorer: Eh...? Yeah, that's right. 

Even though he said that it was because of the heat in the kitchen, his cheeks were slightly turning red now too. 

(Is he okay? Colorer-san...) 

Feeling really uneasy, I looked at the side of his face and...

Suddenly, Colorer-san raised his voice as if something had occurred. When I looked at him, he smiled as if he had come up with a good idea. 

MC: What's wrong? 

Colorer: Ah... No! It's nothing. Anyway, sorry, but can you go ahead of me and take Soufflé home? 

MC: Eh? I'm okay with that, but... What are you going to do, Colorer-san?

Colorer: Hmm, just. Please!

When he hid what he was about to say, he handed me Soufflé's leash. 

(Colorer-san... I can't understand him. Somehow, I feel a little sad...)  

As I felt a slight pain in my heart, I did as Colorer-san said and returned to the castle before him...

Chapter 9 - Searching for Him

When I returned to the castle, I still sensed the scent of berries that was around me.

Colorer: Anyway, sorry, but can you go ahead of me and take Soufflé home?

(I wonder what happened.) 

As I was thinking about what happened during the day, I passed the time in the guest room...

Butler: MC-sama. Pardon my intrusion. 

MC: It's okay. Is something wrong? 

When I opened the door and asked that... 

Butler: Do you know where Colorer-sama is... He hasn't returned yet. 

MC: Eh...!

(Could it be that he still hasn't returned from the berry fields?) 

Then, it became really dark outside. 

MC: U-Um... I'm going to go look for him!

Butler: Ah, MC-sama... 

As my heart was becoming noisy, I left the castle... 

When I searched for Colorer-san along the path towards the berry fields... I saw a tall slim man ahead of me. 

MC: Colorer-san...!

Colorer: ! MC-san?

While thinking that it was strange, I sighed in relief after finding Colorer-san. 

MC: What a relief... I became worried when I heard that you haven't returned yet. 

Colorer: You were looking for me? 

MC: Yes... That's right. 

Colorer: I-I see. Sorry to make you worry... 

MC: That's right, you made me so worried...! Also, you've been acting strange this whole time... I... 

Colorer: ...MC-san. 

As the bright streetlights shined on Colorer-san, his cheeks blushed a little. 

Colorer: ...I'm really sorry. 

MC: Will you return now? 

Colorer: ...Yeah, I will. Let's go back... together. 

(I knew it... There's something that he's not telling me. It's hurting my feelings...) 

MC: Okay... 

The two of us walked down the path together at night... Even though Colorer-san was right next to me, it feels like he's really distant from me... 

Last Chapter - The Promised Yellow Raspberry

After I found Colorer-san and returned to the castle, he wouldn't tell me what he was doing in the berry fields and what he's hiding in his hand. 

Colorer: ...I'm sorry. 

Colorer-san said that awkwardly. 

MC: Colorer-san...? 

Colorer: ...!

Colorer-san looked straight at me as if he has readied himself. 

Colorer: Will you... spend a little bit more time with me? There's... something that I want to tell you. 

After Colorer-san said that, I saw a leaf on the top of his head and some dirt on his clothes and shoes. 

(He was probably daydreaming about something again...) 

When I looked at Colorer-san's serious expression, all my frustrated feelings went away. 

MC: By the way... There's a lot of leaves on you. 

Colorer: ...!

As I smiled, Colorer-san blushed again. 

MC: Then, I'll wait a bit for you. 

Colorer: Y-Yeah, thank you. 

Colorer-san smiled awkwardly a little and went into his room...

One hour later... When I was called over to Colorer-san's room, he signaled me to come over to the balcony. 

Colorer: ...Sorry. For taking up most of your time... 

MC: It's okay... 

When I stood next to Colorer-san, I became startled from how beautiful he looked as he was basked in the pretty moonlight.

As Colorer-san's cheeks were red, he slowly held out both of his hands in front of me. When he slowly opened them up... 

MC: ...! This is... a yellow raspberry...? 

In Colorer-san's hands was a fresh, yellow-colored raspberry that was shining beautifully. 

Colorer: Yes. Today, I remembered about it when I was spending time with you. Sometimes, they grow earlier than they should have... 

MC: Is that so... 

Feeling emotionally moved, I couldn't find the right words to say. When Colorer-san smiled softly, I felt embarrassed as he was looking down at me. 

Colorer: I... I wanted to surprise you. ...I'm sorry... for my cold attitude...

MC: Then... Is that why you were out so late? 

I imagined him desperately searching for the berry with leaves and dirt on him...

(I'm happy...) 

My cheeks blushed as I got a bittersweet feeling. 

Colorer: Yes... I really wanted to make a new dessert to give to you. But, I became unable to come up with one right now... 

MC: There's no need to worry about that... It's fine. 

Colorer: No, I want to. Because... I love you. 

MC: ...!

When his words made my heart tighten, I became really speechless. Then, as Colorer-san's face was red, he made a gentle smile and continued talking to me.

Right now, I was unable to look away from his serious gaze. As my heartbeat was going fast, his clear eyes were focused on me.

When he whispered that to me affectionately... Colorer-san put the yellow raspberry in his lips and then...

He gently placed his lips over mine.

I tasted the sweet and sour raspberry in the kiss...

He asked me that sweetly with warm and teary eyes...
