Chapter 5 - Flying

A few days later since then... 

MC: Just now, was the sound of wings.

Dulfer: ...

When I looked at the window, Dulfer was outside looking at me as his large wings were flapping. 

MC: Dulfer!? 

Dulfer: ...

"Open up."

Feeling scared, I held onto Dulfer's neck with both of my hands. 

Dulfer: Good. Hang onto me like that, so that you won't fall. 

While carrying me, Dulfer lightly flew up. 

When his wings spread out once more, it felt like my heart had stopped as he flew out of the window. 

(We're flying...!?)

I held onto Dulfer and closed my eyes tightly...

Last Chapter - Flames of Anger

Dulfer: I came to abduct you.

-Flashback-

When Dulfer suddenly showed up in my room and picked me up, he began to fly into the night sky. Feeling scared, I closed my eyes tight... 

Dulfer: There's no need to be scared. Look, open your eyes. The view at night is beautiful. 

I trembled as he whispered that to me closely.

The beautiful town was sparkling as we were flying.

Suddenly, a poor looking man stood in front of us. 

Dulfer: ...Who are you? 

Dulfer doesn't seem to know him and shrugged his shoulders. 

Man: Nevertheless, you just throw people aside. What an annoying guy you are. 

Dulfer: That's not true. I usually just reject people. 

Man: Shut up, you're even messing around with your luck with women right now... Just lend me your face for a bit!

Dulfer: No. I'm no good at fights. Go find someone else. Bye. 

After Dulfer completely ignored the other man, he passed by him as he pulled my hand. Although, it seems like the other man felt really insulted from being ignored...

Man: Hold it!

MC: Eh...? 

Suddenly, I felt both of my arms being grabbed and my body was strongly pulled. 

Dulfer: ...!

I ended up letting go of Dulfer's hand and fell to the ground. 

MC: Ow... 

When I hit my elbow and knee, they both started bleeding. 

Man: H-Hmph! That felt good!

Just as the man said that and laughed at that moment...

Dulfer: YOU... 

I noticed that the temperature in the cold atmosphere has suddenly increased. 

(W-What? Dulfer...!?) 

Dulfer's wings were flaring as they were spread out. While I was surprised, flames erupted from Dulfer's back and brought forth a hellfire vortex around the area. 

(What's going on...!? Dulfer!?) 

Overwhelmed by the heat of the flames, I gulped. 

Dulfer: TOUCHING MC SO FREELY WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS... HOW DARE YOU...!

His angry expression would make any crying child stay quiet from just looking at his eyes. 

Dulfer: HOW ABOUT I BURN YOU UNTIL YOU ARE NOTHING... IN JUST ONE GO? 

Man: Ah... Ah... Awawa...

As the man was trembling completely, he was unable to stand due to fear and ran off on all fours. 

Dulfer: Hmph... 

Just as Dulfer closed his wings, the flames disappeared at the same time. 

(Ah, the town at night went back to normal...) 

Once it became quiet, Dulfer turned towards me. His expression has already become completely calm... 

Dulfer: Honestly, even though I hate frustrating men. ...It's been a while since I've lost my temper. But, I would have turned that guy into ash for hurting you. 

I couldn't move after he said that so casually with a smile.

Dulfer: Now then, let's return to your room. 

When he held his hand out to me after saying that, I held it nervously. 

I was surprised by the many faces of Dulfer, but...

I couldn't help, but become attracted to his singing voice...
