Jay - Prince of Norpli - Sun End

Chapter 5 - Underneath the Sunlight

When I woke up, there wasn't a single cloud in the vast clear blue sky.

After finishing breakfast, I went to the forest behind the castle. As the sunlight was shining through the gaps of the trees, it made the soft grass shine brightly on the ground.

MC: It's really pretty...

(I wonder how this view is reflected in Jay-san's eyes. If I could paint pictures beside Jay-san again...)

-Flashback-

Jay: Pictures are made from light and shadow.

-Flashback-

(That's right... Jay-san is unable to see this.)

When I thought about Jay-san's feelings, my heart tightened in pain.

(I want to show this view to Jay-san at least.)

Soon after, I hurried to my room to grab a canvas...

Last Chapter - I Want to Know You

As I spent the time painting, time went by before I knew it. By the time lights were being lit in the courtyard, Jay-san was there as he was listless from waking up.

Jay: I heard. You spent the entire day here. Even though it would've been best to look around town. The way the town reflects light during the day is really pretty.

MC: But, time went by so quickly as I was painting...

Jay-san looked at the canvas.

Jay: A painting of the bright sunlight...

MC: Yes...

Jay: How many years has it been... Since I've seen the sunlight looking beautiful like this.

Jay-san's eyes brightened up.

(I'm glad that I painted it... I really wanted to see it with Jay-san. But, I shouldn't say something like that... Jay-san's the one that wants to see the scenery that's basked in the sunlight the most after all.)

As my feelings were showing on my face, Jay-san gently patted my head.

Jay: Don't make that kind of face.

MC: I'm sorry...

Jay: Geez... To think that I would make you feel that way. ...You're a little too trusting with me.

MC: What do you mean...?

Without answering my question, Jay-san's slim long finger reached out towards my cheek. Then, his lips slowly approached my nape...

MC: ...

I felt Jay-san's breath touching the back of my neck faintly.

Jay: What does this sort of thing make you think that I'm going to do?

MC: Eh...?

(But, Jay-san is so kind and he said that he doesn't need to drink blood...)

Jay: I... I'm a monster by nature.

MC: A monster...?

WhenI tilted my head to the side, I noticed Jay-san sighing.

Jay: That's right...

When he grabbed my shoulder and made me turn around... Jay-san touched my nape with his cold fingers.

Jay: Didn't I tell you that you're too trusting with me?

MC: Jay-san...?

Jay: At this rate, I might help myself to your blood...

MC: ...!

My entire body became like my heart as it was throbbing loudly.

(Jay-san's breath is...)

I trembled from his warm breath that was touching my nape.

Jay: ...You won't even run away from this?

Jya-san's voice was slightly trembling.

MC: I want to know. About you more... I want to see more of the world that's reflected in your eyes... That's why...

Jay: ...You're so...

I heard him sigh exasperatedly close to my ear.

When Jay-san slowly backs away, he looked down at me.

Jay: I'm no match for you.

When Jay-san turned his face away, the moonlit night shined on his cheeks that were slightly red.

(Is Jay-san... embarrassed? Seeing him make that kind of face for the first time... This is the first time he looked this cute.)

Jay: The moonlit night is beautiful today too. Most suitable for painting.

When Jay-san smiled somewhat more carelessly than before, I gently smiled.

......

As the two of us were painting together, we looked at each other.

Jay: Having you look at me always makes me so happy.

What I was painting was a picture of a vampire enjoying painting. Speaking of Jay-san, he was painting...

Jay: A smiling angel that's basked in the sunlight. A picture of you.

As Jay-san whispered that to me bashfully, his smile shined brightly like the sun...
