Chapter 5 - Within the Light

When I woke up, there wasn't a single cloud in the clear vast blue sky outside the window. 

After eating breakfast, I began to take a walk in the courtyard.

In the spacious courtyard, the gardener sprinkled water over it. As the sunlight strongly shined on the drops of fallen water, it created a rainbow. 

(If I could paint a picture with Jay-san again... I wonder if he'll paint another strange figure out of that gardener...)

Jay: This is why you're still a child. You don't need to understand art.

When I remembered what Jay-san said yesterday, I broke into a smile. Although...

I was focusing on painting of what I wanted to show to Jay-san...

Jay: Were you painting again? 

Jay-san picked up the canvas that was set aside. 

MC: The garden was so pretty that I wanted to show it to you.

Jay: Hey. Even though you sent a messenger to come play yesterday, you came yourself tonight. 

I remembered the vampire that broke through the glass window in the room. 

Vampire: What, so I've been found out. 

The vampire laughed. 

Jay: ...Why did you come here? 

Vampire: Last night, you seem to be enjoying yourself, so I came to check it out. I never thought that you would make a friend. 

Jay: ...

The vampire looked at me with a grin. 

Vampire: What a cruel thing you did. Since you can't look at the light, this girl made this picture...

Jay: I want to see more.

When Jay-san turned towards me, he gently caressed my cheek.

As Jay-san's smile shined in the moonlit night, it looked more beautiful than any other view... In my mind, I thought about how I wanted to paint something even better for him next time...
