Chapter 6 - Not Just Someone

The warm light in the lantern brightened up the room late at night... After returning from town, I entered the futon in the room that Nayuta-san has prepared. 

(The entire day just ended so fast.) 

When I closed my eyes, I saw Kihel's smile from when we parted ways. 

-Flashback-

Kihel: Ahaha... In the end, I couldn't become a normal person. Sorry! But, I had a lot of fun. Thanks, MC-chan!

(For some reason, I'm starting to miss that liveliness of his.) 

With sadness becoming stronger within my heart, I couldn't go to sleep well... 

Kihel's Voice: Princess, you still up?

Chapter 7 - A Promise to You

The nightly breeze with the lingering scent of flowers blew against Kihel and me. As we were holding hands, we arrived at a flower field that was close to the castle. 

Kihel: Are you cold? 

MC: No, I'm fine... Achoo...!

Kihel: Ahaha, it's like what I said. 

(How embarrassing...) 

When I hung my head down to hide my face, Kihel chuckled. 

Kihel: Come here. 

Kihel placed his hand on my shoulder and held me close to him. While feeling embarrassed, I felt at ease from the calming warmth. 

MC: ...Kihel, you're so warm. 

Kihel: You're the one who's warm, MC-chan. 

As I was in Kihel's arms, he held me tighter. 

Kihel: I was right when I saw you in Chocolute*. The fact that you're a really warm person. No. Ever since I saw you in a dream for the first time...

He whispered that to me sweetly as we cuddled up together. I became deeply moved when he acted as if he was seeking warmth.

I couldn't stop looking at Kihel with those feelings showing in my eyes. As i gave him a broad smile, our heads touched each other with a bump. 

Kihel: But, hey, let's make it more fun now. Instead of "Princess", wouldn't MC-chan be-

Interrupting Kihel, I shook my head. 

MC: My feelings right now aren't as the Traumerei Princess. It's because I want you to smile. 

Kihel: Eh...

Kihel widened his eyes as the moonlight shined on them. 

Kihel: ...What should I do? I'm so happy that I don't have the words to describe them. 

While smiling broadly, Kihel's cheeks became bright red. When I saw a rare happy face of his, I became captivated before I knew it... 

Last Chapter - Together with You, Towards the Light

While looking at the twinkling stars, Kihel laughed many times... When we sat down in the flower field, we talked about our memories of our journey. 

Kihel: Heh. Then, remember how Bro was really scary at the Kenal* castle when I was joking about his kingdom...?

MC: That's what I heard. But, don't mind Avi. 

-Flashback-

Kihel: Ahaha, Bro's kingdom is probably different!

Avi: What do you mean by that? 

Kihel: Eh? Why are you making such a scary face!?

Kihel insisted that as he shook his head. 

Kihel: I actually felt a chill going down my spine. It felt like I was becoming frozen. 

As Kihel held himself with both of his arms, he shivered a little. When he was acting as if he was cold, I ended up breaking into a smile. 

Kihel: ...

MC: Kihel? Is something wrong? 

Kihel: ...I'm really glad that things went as I thought. 

MC: Eh...? 

He looked at me with kindness overflowing in both of his eyes. 

Kihel: The truth is, I wanted to make you smile just for today. Wait, I'm getting too enthusiastic here. Even so, I was able to do it well today. 

As Kihel made a troubled smile, he lightly shrugged his shoulders. 

MC: Is that why you came to see me? 

Kihel: Yeah. It's because I like your smile. 

MC: !

Kihel's affectionate words reached my heart straightaway as usual. Which filled it with a ticklish happiness.

Kihel's smile is like the sun shining on my heart. 

(Just like before... If I could wish for it, I would like to look at him longer.) 

With that desire in my eyes, I looked at Kihel more. During the pleasant silent mood, Kihel moderately began to speak.

He sounded serious as he said that.

We walked through the flower field as we held each other's hands tightly. When the morning fog moistened the flowers and made them sparkle, it looked as if the stars have fallen from the night sky. 

Kihel: It feels really nerve wrecking when morning comes, but... That's what brings light to night. No matter how dark it is or how cold it is... You'll get through it with someone that's with you. No, it can't just be anyone. For something like this... It has to be only, MC-chan. 

MC: Eh... 

Kihel: Probably.

Despite that I'm used to hearing Kihel's favorite phrase, I felt a little sad for some reason.

Kihel said that eagerly and pulled me towards him... When the sun rose to the sky, it shined on the world beautifully.
