Leonie - Prince of Oz - Moon End

Chapter 6 - In the Courtyard at Night

Suddenly, the Simba castle became completely shrouded in the night... As there was a scary presence somewhere in the castle, I ran searching for Leonie.

MC: Leonie! Where are you!?

Although, he didn't respond as my voice echoed throughout the long hallway.

(I wonder if Leonie is all right...)

When I turned around, I went to search in other places and headed towards the castle courtyard.

Then... In the center of the courtyard at night, I followed an odd silhouette and Leonie was there.

MC: Leonie!

Leonie: MC!?

While moving strangely, the doll soldier from earlier went after Leonie.

(Oh, no...!)

At that moment, I picked up a shovel and fought against it.

MC: Over here!

Doll Soldier: ...!

I desperately tried to drive it away and swung the shovel like crazy. Then, the doll soldier quickly ran away...

Chapter 7 - Sharing Courage

As a strange bird was chirping, I rushed over to Leonie in the courtyard at night. I somehow managed to drive the doll soldier away, but Leonie was completely scared.

Leonie: Uu... I-Is it okay now? Did it go off somewhere?

MC: Yes, it's okay. Leonie, are you okay?

Leonie: Y-Yeah... I'm fine.

Leonie got up as he brushed the dirt off his knees. He looked at me admiringly.

MC: What's wrong?

Leonie: Nothing, even though you're small, you're pretty brave...

As he looked like he had something to say, his lips trembled and he averted his gaze from me.

MC: Leonie...?

Curious about how he was feeling, I said his name and...

Leonie: Hey, MC...!

MC: Eh...!? W-What!?

Leonie made a serious look that made my shoulders twitch.

Leonie: Share a little of your courage! Please...! I want courage no matter what!!

MC: My courage? But...

As I was confused by what he said, he looked straight at me.

(I wonder what I should do, courage is a little...)

After I thought about it for a while, I couldn't come up with a method.

Leonie: ...

(Leonie...)

As Leonie kept on looking at me, I couldn't bring myself to leave him hanging like that...

Leonie: ...!?

I gently hugged him. He slightly moved in my arms and blinked repeatedly from shock. After a while...

MC: What do you think? Are you... getting courage?

After I stopped hugging him, I looked up at him closely.

Leonie: ...

I stared at his narrow blue eyes. When I stopped looking at him, my heart stopped beating calmly and became loud.

MC: ...Was that no good?

When I asked him that again, his blonde hair swayed as he shook his head greatly.

Leonie: ...No! Not at all. ...The inside of my body became warm, it's amazing...! Right now, I feel like I can do anything!!

MC: ...Really?

Leonie: Yeah!

Leonie looked at me with a confident smile. His eyes made a strong look that I've never seen him make before.

Leonie: Okay, with that done, I must get rid of those strange doll soldiers. I won't let those guys do as they like this castle!

MC: Okay, but don't push yourself.

Leonie: I'll be fine!

With a pat on his chest, Leonie deeply nodded. Then, we went off to get rid of the doll soldiers. When I looked at the castle from the courtyard at night, it looked mysteriously ominous...

Last Chapter - Receiving Courage

When we returned to the castle, the area was quiet. Although, at that moment, we heard some strange creaking sounds coming from somewhere.

MC: It sounds like it's coming from the main hall...

Leonie led the way and held my hand. When we moved forward in the scarcely lit hallway for a while...

Doll Soldier: ...!?

MC: Leonie, over here!

Within the darkness, the doll soldiers got up strangely when they saw us.

Leonie: With courage in my hand, I'm invincible! This intimidating Leonie of the Simba territory will take you on!!

After shouting that, Leonie faced the doll soldiers daringly.

Leonie: Haaaa!

Leonie's movements made him look like a wild carnivore. Without stopping, he took down large number of doll soldiers all at once.

(Amazing... To think that Leonie was really this strong.)

I became fascinated by his flowing movements. 5 minutes later, the doll soldiers were all turned into scrap, but...

Leonie: Hm? There's some kind of note on the doll...

MC: Eh?

When I took a closer look, there was something written on the back of a destroyed doll soldier.

Leonie: Let's see, "while you were gone, these doll soldiers were looking after the castle. Oswald"...

MC: ...Is this Oswald the Oswald that you mentioned?

Leonie: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?

Leonie's loud shout echoed loudly throughout the castle at night...

After that, we were at the castle rooftop. When I looked up, there were beautiful bright stars in the night sky.

MC: In the end, it wasn't a ghost, but doll soldiers that Oswald-san placed there.

Leonie: That's right, this should reassure everyone in town. Although, that Oswald, if it weren't for those dolls, I would've lost courage. Ah, but right now, I have some courage that I got from you, so it's all right!

With a satisfied look, he placed his hand on his chest. He stuck out both of his hands towards the night sky and shouted loudly.

Leonie: Courage really is the best! I can do anything with courage...

MC: Leonie, I think you're wrong.

Leonie: Huh? What do you mean...?

After hearing me, Leonie furrowed his brow.

MC: ...I didn't give you any courage. In other words, you had courage from the start.

Leonie: Eh!?

Leonie's blue eyes widened as he made a surprised yelp. After a small pause, his eyes became filled with uneasiness...
