Chapter 5 - A Small Concert

After some days have passed... 

Butler: Raith-sama!

(Is this all right...?) 

Raith-san was hiding from the servants. 

Raith: Run. I don't want to get involved with the fight for the throne. 

With a smile, he pulled my hand and ran. 

When we went outside to a place, where no one was around, Raith-san sat down on a bench in relief. 

Raith: The sky is beautiful today as well. 

While looking at the beautiful red sunset, he took out his violin from it's case. 

Raith: What song would you like to hear? 

MC: ...

(Is this really all right...?) 

When I answered him, he closed his eyes and held the violin. As he moved his right hand, the melody sounded like a bird with a beautiful singing voice. 

MC: Wow... 

Birds gathered around and perched up on the nearby trees. Raith-san smiled happily from the bottom of his heart... 

Last Chapter - The Birds' Calling

I could feel the captivating evening sunlight behind my eyelids... As I was listening to Raith-san's music with my eyes closed, it suddenly stopped.

Raith: If I leave the castle... I thought about living by doing musical performances and painting pictures. 

Raith-san looked at the birds that were out in the distance. 

Raith: It's because I seem to like making people smile with the music I play and the pictures I paint the most.

I remembered the time when he was smiling happily wholeheartedly as he was playing the violin.

MC: Your pictures too... They made me realize how beautiful this world is. I think your art makes people happy. 

After I said that, Raith-san held me tighter. 

Raith: Then... Won't you come with me? 

MC: Eh!? 

Raith: The two of us going around the world, seeing beautiful things and creating beautiful things to make people happy... Doesn't that sound like fun? 

MC: But... 

Raith: It's okay. There's no need to worry. I'll protect you. 

When Raith-san said that as he was looking at me, his eyes were shining brightly.
