Chapter 5 - Warm Right Hand

As Sky was pulling my hand, we continued walking through the town that was bustling with lots of people. We mixed in among the people that were looking at stores in town. 

Sky: MC... Are you tired? Are you okay? 

MC: Yes, I'm fine. 

Sky: Sorry for making you walk so far. But, unless we had slipped into the crowd, that car won't be chasing us. 

MC: No, it's okay. The reason why this happened was because I was careless from the start. 

Sky: No... I should've taken more careful consideration... I just wanted to show you around. 

MC: Thank you, Sky. I'm okay though. 

We heard the sound of a car engine starting up from afar. 

(All that I've been doing is make Sky worry. Even though I'm the one who made this all happen from the start...) 

As his right hand was holding mine, it felt warm. That warmth made me feel miserable...

Last Chapter - Stay with Me

I've realized that I've been focusing on the warmth of Sky's right hand. 

(I've only been making Sky protect me. I need to do things myself properly.) 

Even though I thought of that, I couldn't bring myself to let go of his right hand. 

Sky: You... You're trembling. 

When he mentioned that the first time, I've realized that I was trembling. 

MC: I'm sorry. 

Sky: Don't worry, I'll stay with you... 

MC: Even though you're a prince, it's my fault that you got put in danger, I'm sorry. Also, I'm okay now. Does this kingdom have some police? We should go to them to see if they can do something. 

Sky: ...What a stupid thing to say. Before I'm a prince, I'm a man that'll protect a woman. Also, didn't I tell you that this kingdom's public security isn't good? We can't guarantee that the police will protect us. ...Even though this kingdom has been put in this kind of situation unintentionally. 

MC: ...Sky. 

Sky: Also, what are you worrying about? Were you thinking that you were a bother to me? If that's the case, then you're completely wrong. Besides, I was the one who called you over to this kingdom after all. 

Sky's gentle words reassured me a little. 

Sky: Also, more importantly... Sorry that I didn't notice. Those guys are the kingdom's people too after all. I was hoping that they'll get tired of catching us, so that I won't have to hurt them, but... 

(That's why he's been running away from them this whole time.) 

Sky: The truth is, I'm a disappointing man. I. I can't even protect a single woman properly. 

MC: That's not true!

This whole time since we've met, he's been thinking about the people of this kingdom...

When I said that, Sky lowered a brow troubledly.

MC: I think we should try going to the police. I don't want to burden you any more than this. 

After I said that, Sky grabbed my arm and started walking. 

Sky: Wait here... You, geez. 

As Sky's face turned slightly red, he took out a new cigarette from his coat and put it in his mouth. Then... 

Sky: Alright, I've decided. I'll be going out for a bit. 

MC: Eh!? 

Surprised by his sudden words, I couldn't do anything, but blink. 

Sky: I'll take care of things quicky, so be good and wait there. 

(W-What does he mean?) 

MC: Sky, wait! What are you going to do!? 

Sky: I'm going to end things. So, don't move from there, okay? 

As I was taken aback, Sky left while taking big strides. 

(He's going to end things?) 

Then...

As soon as I heard loud gunshots, I closed my eyes shut. 

(...Sky!!)

The moment I was unable to take it and was about to go after Sky... Sky came back shortly after with the man with the skull earrings. 

MC: !! T-That person... 

As I was unable to understand what was happening, I blinked many times. 

Sky: Don't worry, he won't be moving for a while. 

MC: What happened...? 

Sky: All that he got was a bad concussion from the car sliding and overturning after I shot the tires. Now then, let's hand this guy over to the police and go eat the food at the restaurant we missed out on during the day. 

MC: ...

(I can't tell what's happening.) 

Feeling all my strength leaving me, I sat down in place. 

When Sky held me, he looked at my face. 

Sky: What's wrong? 

MC: I'm just surprised... I was so worried. 

Sky: ...Sorry about that. I didn't want this guy to hurt you. I told you that I've made my decision. 

MC: Eh...?

Sky: I'm only kind... When it comes to you. 

MC: That's... 

Sky: I probably became a little intoxicated myself. But... Sorry... It's just that being with you is so much fun. That it made me want to be with you... 

MC: Sky...

Sky hugged me tightly in his arms. As I couldn't bring any strength out, I entrusted myself to those arms. 

Sky: Are you okay? 

When Sky looked at my face as he said that, he looked very dignified. 

MC: I'm probably not that okay. I was worried about you after all. 

Just as I made a bit of a mischievous smile...

Sky: Hmm... Then, let's stay like this for a bit longer. 

When he messily petted my head after saying that, he hugged me tightly again. 

(A kind and strong person...) 

I slowly closed my eyes. I could hear Sky's heart pounding loudly...
