Chapter 6 - Jörmungandr Invasion

Jörmungandr was approaching Asgarz... 

Thor: Are you sure about that? 

Guard 1: Yes. 

Guard 2: It was confirmed after checking it from the watchtower. 

Thor: ...I see. 

Thor-kun's eyes hesitantly trembled at that moment. Although, that shaking immediately went away and there was a strong look in his eyes. 

Thor: You get those guys to return to the castle immediately. Then, contact the other group. Make sure to protect the castle. 

Guard 1: Do you need reinforcements? 

Thor: I'll be going soon. I don't need protection, I'll be fine on my own. 

Guard 1: Okay! We'll contact them now!

One of the guards turned around and ran into the castle. After watching him off, Thor-kun turned around and started walking as well. 

Guard 2: Now then, Princess, come this way...

MC: Wait, Thor-kun...!

(Fighting by himself... I know that Thor-kun is strong. Yet, still...) 

As if I was going to hold onto him, I reached for Thor-kun's arm. Although... 

Thor: Don't touch me!

He shook my hand off away from him... 

Chapter 7 - Carrying Out His Duty

When he drove my hand away... My heart felt a dull pain. 

Thor: ...I'm going. Once I defeat Jörmungandr, it'll be safe to walk around outside. Until then... You should hurry and return to your own kingdom. 

MC: Thor-kun... 

(Even though he was smiling earlier...) 

When he looked at me with his cold eyes again, the pain in my heart increased more. 

MC: ...Are you going by yourself? 

Thor: Of course. It's my mission after all. 

MC: But, for you to take the burden all by yourself, I don't want that. So...

I flinched from Thor-kun's unusually cold tone.

After Thor-kun said that, he turned around and left. Then... 

Guard 2: For Thor-sama to shout like that... ...You must really mean something to him, Princess. 

MC: Eh...? 

Guard 2: He has never needed anyone's help. We have no doubt in what he believes in, but... 

The guard made a serious expression as he looked towards the way Thor-kun ran off to. Then... 

Guard 2: Princess, please. Won't you accompany me to where Thor-sama is? I promise to protect you with my life. So please, for him...  

The guard said that shakily as he begged me. When he did that, I... 

MC: ...Okay. I won't let Thor-kun be alone again. 

After I made that strong response, the guard and I headed to where Thor-kun is... 

Last Chapter - The Inheritor of Mjolnir

I ran over to the vast area of Asgarz with the guard and after we finally found Thor-kun... 

(No way... That's the Jörmungandr...?)

I looked up in awe at it's colossal form. At that moment. 

MC: ...! Look out!

Jörmungandr used it's huge tail to attack Thor-kun from behind. 

Thor: Wha... MC! Why are you here...!

Thor-kun shouted my name in surprise as he dodged the tail. Although, the next moment, Jörmungandr moved it's gaze over here... 

Guard: Gwah!

MC: Ah...!

When Jörmungandr's tail blew the guard away and made him hit a cliff, that huge tail was raised over me next. But... 

Thor: MC!!

MC: Thor-kun!? 

Thor-kun used Mjolnir to stop Jörmungandr's attack. Although, he couldn't take the entire attack and received a cut on his cheek. 

MC: Thor-kun...!

Thor: ...Don't move. 

Thor-kun put all his strength into Mjolnir. Then, his body was surrounded by a pale light... 

Thor: You may have injured my troops, but if you lay a hand on MC... I'll never forgive you for that, Jörmungandr!

When Thor-kun swung Mjolnir, he stopped it's tail from attacking. Then, he ran up towards the top of Jörmungandr's huge head... 

Thor: Take this!!

After he pierced through Jörmungandr by swinging down Mjolnir, he jumped down to the ground and wiped the blood from his forehead. 

MC: Did that... do it? 

Thor: Yeah... 

As Thor-kun was breathing heavily, he looked at the fallen Jörmungandr. A little while later... 

Thor: It's finally over... 

Thor-kun happily murmured that as he gripped the handle of Mjolnir. Then, as a response towards his feelings, his body became surrounded by a gentle pale light... 

......

After that, news about Thor-kun defeating Jörmungandr has spread around the area... While there was a reassuring atmosphere in town, I accompanied Thor-kun to his room. 

MC: ...

(Thor-kun is probably mad...) 

Just as I was about to apologize for not listening and getting him hurt in the end, I looked at him. Although, at that moment... 

MC: ...! Thor-kun...? 

Thor-kun strongly hugged me. 

Thor: ...okay. 

MC: Eh? 

Thor: I'm glad that you're okay, MC...

I couldn't say anything as Thor-kun said that hoarsely with his arms trembling a little. 

Thor: ...I thought that it would have been best to part from you. Since I have to keep on fighting in the future. That's why I shook yor hand away at that time... Sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad. 

MC: Please don't apologize. You have to protect this kingdom when something happens... That's your job, Thor-kun... Also... I'm sorry for not listening to you.

Thor: Yeah... I'm the one who inherited Mjolnir, this kingdom's prince. I can't run away from that role. And I have no intention to. I didn't want you to get involved with that and pushed you away. But... I got really worried when I parted from you. 

As Thor-kun made a pain expression, he placed his hand on my cheek. Those eyes that looked cold before are now beautifully clear...

Thor: You... Stay with me forever. If you don't, I'll feel strange from being worried. 

Thor-kun's affectionate voice echoed in the room with just the two of us in it... As I felt his warmth on my cheek, I softly placed my hand over his. 

MC: Me too, I feel the same way. So... Won't you let me stay by your side? 

Thor: Yeah... I don't want to let you go again. 

When Thor-kun said that, he gently caressed my cheek. Then... 

Thor: MC... 

His beautiful lips whispered my name. 

With that word as a signal, our lips softly met...
