Chapter 4 - Piano Lesson

The next morning... I woke up from hearing the soft sound of a piano. 

(Could that be... Carlo?) 

I could hear the sound of the piano coming from outside the room. Entranced by that sound, I left the room. 

MC: Carlo? 

When I looked inside Carlo's room, he noticed me and stopped playing. 

Carlo: Yo, MC!

MC: Carlo, are you practicing the piano today? 

Carlo: No, you're going to practice the piano!

MC: Eh...? 

Carlo: Didn't you say that you envy people that can play the piano? So, I'm going to teach you the piano!

MC: B-But... 

Carlo: Just sit over here, MC!

MC: ...!

Carlo pulled my arm and made me sit down next to him. 

Carlo: Alright, let's do this!

Then, my piano lesson started... 

Last Chapter - Becoming Entranced by the Sound of the Piano

As I was in front of the piano, my heart was going fast with nervousness. 

Carlo: Watch closely. 

MC: Got it... 

Carlo slowly pressed the keys. After that, I pressed the keys nervously. 

Carlo: You can't play while twitching like that! You need to play with more spirit!

With Carlo checking on my playing, I was slowly enjoying playing the piano. 

MC: Carlo, wouldn't it be best to practice the guitar? 

Carlo: It's fine! It's okay to suddenly do classical sometimes, right? Besides, I've decided to teach you piano today!

MC: Thank you. 

Carlo: Whoa! Go, la la la la, there! Try singing that! 

Just as he said that, Carlo placed his hand over mine. 

MC: ...!

When he suddenly placed his hand over mine, my hand started shaking. 

Carlo: What? 

Surprised, Carlo looked at my face. Then moment our eyes met, his face instnatly turned red. 

(H-His face is close.) 

With his face right near mine, my cheeks became warm. 

Carlo: S-Stupid! W-What are you being so conscious for!

When he quickly backed away, he said that roughly. 

MC: T-That's not what I was intending!

As I held my warm cheeks, I turned away from him. Then, his shoulders beside me trembled. 

MC: ...? 

Carlo: Dammit~! I'm supposed to be a punk!!

Just as Carlo shouted that, he banged on the piano. 

MC: Eh...? What's wrong? 

When I turned towards Carlo again... 

Carlo: S-Shut up~! It's nothing! Let's practice! MC!

MC: G-Got it!

When he grabbed my hand, Carlo made me turn towards the piano. 

Carlo: Continue!

MC: O-Okay. 

Trying to match with Carlo's piano playing, I was awkwardly playing the piano. Although, I was so curious about him for some reason that I turned towards him secretly. Then...

Carlo: Eek!? 

Just as our gazes met again, we turned away from each other again. 

(A punk... huh...) 

-Flashback-

Carlo: That's all right! Music is life after all! As long as you have the heart and music, it'll reach out no matter how much you suck at it!

-Flashback-

When I suddenly remembered Carlo's words, I broke into a smile. The stiff piano melody sounded joyful for some reason...
