Just as one of the men pushed Kaine-kun aside and was about to grab my arm... 

Kaine: MC-san...! Don't touch MC-san!

Kaine-kun lodged his fist into the man's stomach. 

Well Built Man: Guh... 

Looking like it hurt a lot, the man started throbbing in agony. 

Vulgar Man: You little! You've done it now!

The other man was about to hit Kaine-kun soon after, but... Kaine-kun quickly attacked and punched the man in the chest repeatedly. 

Vulgar Man: Wha... 

With a look of disbelief, the man became unable to move from that single blow. 

(W-Wow...) 

Seeing Kaine-kun like that caught my attention completely... 

Last Chapter - Someday, I'll Protect You

Man: We'll remember this!

The men shouted that unwillingly as they ran off. After that, Kaine-kun ran back to me. 

Kaine: MC-san, are you okay? 

While looking at me worriedly, his teary eyes looked like he was about to cry at any moment now. 

(Kaine-kun was like a different person than before.) 

MC: You were amazing, Kaine-kun. 

Kaine: Eh...? 

MC: You were really cool. 

Kaine: R-Really!? 

While staring at me, Kaine-kun's eyes brightened up. 

MC: You're so strong, Kaine-kun. 

Kaine: That's because my sisters gave me some strict training. I've never got any muscles no matter how much I'd trained and I haven't gotten taller either...

Kaine-kun's shoulders dropped in disappointment. 

Kaine: My sisters were worried, so they've taught me martial arts and sword fighting. They told me that I have to protect women! But, I still haven't won against my sisters... 

(Kaine-kun's sisters sound like they're...) 

Kaine: My sisters are really strict and they've made me cry when I was little, but... I'm glad that they trained me! After all, I got to protect you!

MC: Thank you, Kaine-kun. 

Kaine-kun and I smiled at each other. That exchange somehow made me feel ticklish and embarrassed. Then... 

Kaine: Alright! I'm going to train more, so that I can get buffed up!

When he suddenly looked up at the sky, he declared that loudly. 

MC: B-Buffed up!? 

Kaine: So that I can protect you properly!

He looked like he was trying to flex his biceps as he put some strength into both of his arms. 

(Kaine-kun being all buffed up...) 

Seeing Kaine-kun, who looks like a cute fairy, made me think that it'd be such a waste. When I thought of that as Kaine-kun smiled with his cheeks turning red... 

Kaine: I don't want you to think of me as a little brother. Besides, ever since we've first met, I... 

MC: Eh? 

Just as he murmured that, I looked back at Kaine-kun when I didn't catch what he said at the end. Kaine-kun looked at me amusedly. 

As he gazed at me deeply, Kaine-kun broke into a smile. 

Kaine: I'm going to get more buffed up, so that I can protect you forever. 

As it felt like the downpouring sunlight was shining on that smile... I got a ticklish feeling in my chest...
