Chapter 4 - Secret Plan
Then, a week later... Lian-san's clan confronted the other clan that robbed the village.
(Lian-san...)
While I was slightly further away on the top of a hill, I watched them with the villagers.
Lian: So, you guys are the ones that robbed the supplies in the village.
Enemy Clan 1: What's with you guys. Robbing is bad for our reputation. We bargained with them properly.
Lian: I've heard about the unfair bargain. It's too much, so give them back.
Enemy Clan 2: Like we care. More importantly, you guys are in the way. We're going to be turning this village into our base. Get them!!
Then, when they started battling... Even tough each of Lian-san's men were strong, the number of enemies was overwhelming that Lian-san and the others were struggling greatly.
(What do I do, at this rate...)
Villager Man 1: Lian-sama...! Shouldn't we fight too!?
Villager Man 2: Don't! We'll be a hindrance to them!
Villager Man 3: True... But, if we can at least lower the number of enemies!
(Number... I know...! Even though I don't get it well.)
MC: Everyone! Won't you please lend me a hand?
(I want to help Lian-san!)
With that thought, I called out to the villagers...
Last Chapter - Unskillful Hands
When I pleaded to the villagers, they immediately made flags with Lian-san's clan's symbol on it. Lian-san fought in the front to protect the people of his clan.
Villager Man: Alright! This should be enough!
MC: Then, I'll leave it to you!
The villagers went around the hill to surround the enemy and held up the flags all at once.
Villager Man: Lian-sama! Reinforcements have arrived!
Lian: ...!?
Enemy Clan 1: Eh... Reinforcements!?
Enemy Clan 2: Chief! There are too many of them! If they team up with them...
Enemy Clan Chief: Dammit...! Retreat!
When the enemy clan saw our flags and got the wrong idea that reinforcements had arrived, they got on their horses and retreated at full speed.
Lian: ...This is.
MC: Lian-san!
From the top of the hill, I ran over to Lian-san.
MC: What a relief... It went well!
Lian: You did this? ...I'm surprised.
MC: No! All the villagers were the ones that helped.
Villager: Lian-sama! You did it!!
Lian: ...
When Lian-san looked around at the men and the villagers, he deeply bowed to us.
Lian: I should be thanking you. You really helped us out.
MC: P-Please raise your head.
Thus, peace has returned to the village...
Then, a few days later...
(I'm glad that Lian-san is all right...)
Lian: I thought that you would be here.
MC: Lian-san!
Lian-san stood beside me and looked up at the starry sky.
Lian: We'll be migrating to another village.
MC: Eh...
Lian: I'm worried about this villager, but... There's nothing for the horses and sheep to eat here.
MC: I guess so...
Lian: What about you? You should call for an escort to take you back to your kingdom.
MC: I was thinking of staying here to help everyone in this village for a while.
After what happened, I wanted to do something to help with the pasture fields after being given such hospitality from the villagers.
Lian: I see...
Lian-san looked up at the stars. The first star that was bright red emitted a bright light today as well.
Lian: The Dawn Goddess.
MC: Eh?
Lian: You're kind of like that.
Suddenly, when Lian-san's large hand touched mine reservedly, my heart skipped a beat.
(Lian-san...?)
Lian: ...
As I was unsure if I should hold that hand, Lian-san gripped it while fumbling with it.
MC: ...That hurts a little.
While blushing, I said that to him with a smile.
Lian: S-Sorry. I've never held a girl's hand before. It's just so... fragile.
Even in the dark, I could tell that Lian-san's face was red.
Lian: This hand helped me. You were so brave.
He looked at me gently.
Lian: We won't be far, so we'll come back here. Until then... Will you wait for us? Until then, I want to show a lot of places to you.
(Lian-san...)
The first star that is called the Dawn Goddess shined gently in the sky for a very long time...
