Preparing for the Gratitude Festival tomorrow, we continued to make some final preparations...

Townswoman: We have something to discuss with you, Princess, Leonie-sama's guest...
After I went with the woman that wanted to talk to me privately, many people gathered around in the town plaza.

Going back to preparations, Leonie turned pale as he was waiting for me.

In a panic, Leonie grabbed both of my shoulders.

As Leonie's hands were holding my shoulders, they were trembling in fear.
MC: It's nothing like that!

Remembering my promise with the townspeople, I responded vaguely...

Leonie looked like he wanted to say something, but he silently removes his hands from me...
Chapter 7 - Eggs Given by Everyone
Then, the next day... The Gratitude Festival that people were looking forward to has finally arrived.
In the castle of the Simba territory that I was staying at, I went to Leonie's room.
MC: Leonie, shall we go check out the festival in town?
Leonie: The festival?
When I entered his room, the baby chick on his shoulder became completely attached to him.
MC: Yes, of course, he can come too.
Chick: Peep, peep?
Leonie: But...
As he folded both of his hands together in front, he became hesitant...

(Everyone in town is waiting for Leonie.)

Chick: Peep, peep!
When I pulled Leonie's hand by force, we headed to the Gratitude Festival...
After arriving at town, it was really crowded with people that came to visit for the Gratitude Festival.
Leonie: Heh... It seems like everyone's enjoying themselves.
The first place that we went to was the plaza, where various colorful eggs are being handed out to the townspeople.
Girl: Wow, Mom! A bird came out of this egg!
Girl's Mother: My, that's nice.
The people that received the eggs were surprised by the mechanisms and were all showing smiles.
Leonie: As expected of Oswald. He can create an egg like that...
Just as Leonie looked at the people that received the eggs admirably.
Town Representative: Everyone! Leonie-sama has arrived!
Townswoman: My, the princess really did bring him here!
Leonie: Eh!? Why was everyone in town waiting for me...?
Soon after, people started gathering around Leonie.
Small Boy: Here, an egg for Leonie-sama too!
Leonie: For me!? Come to think of it, you helped us out in the plaza before...
Small Boy: Yeah! We all talked about it with this lady about what we should give to Leonie-sama.
Long Haired Girl: Yes, accept mine too!
Each of the townspeople handed Leonie eggs that they've made.
Leonie: Everyone... Even though I was only helping because Oswald asked me to... MC, this is...
MC: Yes, everyone in town have been talking about how they wanted to show their gratitude to you.
Leonie: So, that's why... Thank you, MC... Everyone...!
As Leonie's hands were filled with the eggs that he received from the townspeople, his eyes became emotionally teary. Although, suddenly, Leonie tilted his head to the side when he looked at the eggs that he received.
Leonie: But, where did you get this many eggs? The eggs that I got from Oswald, there should've only been enough for everyone in town...
Chick: Peep, peep?
While Leonie was questioning it, the baby chick showed itself from his chest. At that moment.
Leonie: Huh!? Just now, I heard something coming from the eggs...
Getting a sense of déjà vu, I looked at his hands...
MC: Ah! Oh, no, the eggs that you received are...
Leonie: Uwaaah!?
Somehow, the eggs that he received were cracking one after another and baby chicks were starting to hatch...
Last Chapter - Baby Chicks Chirping in Unison

Small Boy: Wow! So many baby chicks!

Before we knew it, so many baby chicks were hatching from the eggs in the plaza.

Town Representative: Who would've thought that the eggs would hatch...! My apologies, Leonie-sama!
Leonie: It's okay, just what is going on!?
Town Representative: When we asked Oswald-sama for a favor, he gave us these eggs...

As it was overflowing with newborn chicks, the adorable baby chicks chirped in union in the plaza.
Chick: Peep!
Leonie: Ah, wait! If you jump out right now...
Responding with the same kind of chirp, the baby chick that's been with Leonie jumped out from his chest.
Chick: Peep, peep, peep! Peep!
When it was heard as the eldest and first born, the baby chicks surrounded Leonie and chirped all at once.
MC: Could this be...
Leonie: Don't tell me... They all think that I'm their mother!?
As a response towards Leonie's voice, they chirped loudly.
(W-What do we do...)
As I was taken aback by the situation, Leonie crossed his arms in front of the baby chicks and took a deep breath.
Leonie: Alright, I got it! If that's the case, then I'll raise all of you guys!
MC: ...!!
As I was surprised from what he said, Leonie pulled my arm the next moment.
Just as Leonie's face got close in front of me... The newborn chicks energetically chirped on our shoulders and hands.
MC: Leonie...
While I was blinking repeatedly, Leonie made a troubled smile.
Leonie: It can't be helped, right? Also, he seems happy that he has siblings now.
Chick: Peep, peep! Peep, peep, peep!
It chirped 3 times higher than the newborn chicks as it flapped it's wings greatly.
Leonie: Also...
MC: Eh...
Leonie softly placed his hand over my ear and spoke bashfully.
Leonie: I thought it'd be nice if we could raise them together. ...Okay, MC?
MC: Sure...!
When he whispered that to me while being slightly embarrassed, it left a very sweet feeling in my ear.
Leonie: I... I've always thought that I was hopeless and I never had any confidence. But, when you were helping me this whole time, everyone became happy like this...
Leonie clenched his fist tightly.
Leonie: With you around... I feel like I can do it somehow... It's like courage is about to burst out of me.
MC: Leonie...
Leonie smiled bashfully, but he seemed reliable somehow.
Leonie: ...What do you think? You don't want to?
MC: It's not that I don't want to, but... With this many, it'll surely be troubling.
Leonie: But, isn't it fun when it's lively?

When I lightly nodded, the first-born baby chick jumped from Leonie's shoulder to mine.
Chick: Peep, peep!

Leonie: Ahaha, looks like this guy likes you too.
MC: Then... Let's raise them all until they become big.
Leonie: Yeah, until then, I would like you to be by my side for a bit longer. No matter what happens, I'll protect these guys and you.

When he told me that directly, my heart skipped a beat.

When Leonie held out his finger, I did the same and we entwined our pinkies together.
