Chapter 6 - A Vast World

The venue of the Toy Market was bustling with visitors that were searching for new encounters... 

(I've heard that many people come here to buy the toys that have been brought in, but...) 

The large event that's gone way beyond my expectations made me nervous as I was going around with Toto-kun. 

Toto: Master! Let's hurry. 

MC: Toto-kun, let me know if you're feeling unwell, okay? 

(I'd feel bad if it becomes hard for him because of the lingering scents of people and toys...) 

Toto: This much is no problem! I've gone on walks to various places with Master, so I'm used to it. 

MC: Really? 

Toto: Yeah!

Toto-kun impatiently turned around many times. 

Toto: Hey, Master! Where do you want to go to? I'll go anywhere you want!

MC: Fufu, thank you. 

(I'm happy that he wants to go to various places together.) 

With Toto-kun being able to do a bit more now... Thinking about what I'm going to do with him from here on made me break into a smile with my heart racing... 

Chapter 7 - A New Friend

While people along the road were stopping as their eyes were shining... In the Toy Market that was overflowing with toys, I was walking with Toto-kun. 

Toto: Master!

Just when I thought he was instantly going to become the center of attention after shouting out "Master"... Toto-kun's voice got drowned out by the lively voices and didn't get heard by those around us that I sighed in relief. 

Toto: There's a toy that I've never seen before over there!

When Toto-kun found a different toy, he smiled brightly like the sun. Looking up at him like that as I was beside him filled me up with happiness. 

MC: Toto-kun, is there a toy that you might want? 

Toto: If Master will play with me, then any toy will do!

(Since we're here, I want to give Toto-kun some kind of toy, but...) 

When I looked around, there were so many people all over... Which made it hard to get a clear view of the toys. 

Toto: ...Master! Should we hold hands? I don't want Master to get lost. 

After saying that, he held his hand out to me and when I took it, he narrowed his eyes happily. 

Toto: Now we won't get separated. 

MC: Yes. 

I could feel Toto-kun's body warmth that was slightly higher than mine from his hand that I was holding. 

Toto: Hey, where should we go-

Suddenly, Toto-kun's nose twitched and looked towards a different direction. 

Toto: Ah... 

When I followed his gaze... Toto-kun was looking at the toy that he brought as it was being held by a smiling child. 

Toto: ...That's good. Now that it has an owner, I feel reassured. 

Toto-kun had a relieved expression on his face as he smiled. 

MC: Yes... I'm really glad. 

I thought about the new memories that they were going to make together from that encounter... 

Toto: Ah! Master, look!

I came back to my senses when Toto-kun swung our entwined hands energetically. 

Toto: Look, it looks like Master!

With a carefree expression, he looked at a female puppet doll. 

(I guess... it does?) 

As Toto-kun picked up the puppet doll that he found in a nearby stall, there were all kinds of other puppet dolls as well. 

MC: So many... 

Shopkeeper: They're dolls that have been gathered from various kingdoms. This one came from the Kingdom of Jewels. 

According to the shopkeeper, this was a store where you could decorate a doll to your own liking... 

Shopkeeper: If you'd like, would you guys want to give it a try? 

 Toto: I'm fine with playing with this doll...!

Holding the puppet doll that he saw earlier tightly, Toto-kun looked at it with high expectations. 

MC: In that case... She would need a friend. 

I picked up a puppet doll that was the same as the one that Toto-kun was holding. Then, I reached out to some parts to use for eyes... 

Last Chapter - Mutual Feelings

While we were holding the two puppets, we left the Toy Market venue... 

Toto: Together with the doll that Master made. 

MC: Yes, I thought it was cute because it looked like Toto-kun. 

I softly petted the male doll head that had the same fluffy ears as him. 

Toto: ...! ...Hehe. It feels like I'm being petted, I'm happy. 

Toto-kun looked at the doll and made a satisfied smile. 

Toto: Hey, Master! I want to give these dolls names. Since this doll belongs to Master, what name will you give him? 

Taking Toto-kun's suggestion, I've thought of a few ideas in my head. 

(I've modeled this doll after Toto-kun, so...) 

MC: How about "Toto-kun"?

Toto: The same name as mine!? 

When Toto-kun narrowed his eyes happily, he held up the female puppet doll in his hands... 

Toto: Then, her name will be "Master"!

What he said with a clear smile made me a little uneasy. 

(Naming a doll, "Master"...) 

MC: Toto-kun, about that doll's name... You should give her my name instead of Master.

Toto: Eh? But... 

As Toto-kun's eyes trembled, he looked between me and the doll's face with a perplexed expression. 

MC: These two are friends, so they should call each other by their names. 

Toto: ...If that's what Master says, then I'll do that!

Once he understood, Toto-kun nodded with a big smile. 

Toto: Her name shall be... MC.

When he said my own name, my heart throbbed loudly. 

Toto: Hey, Master! Is our walk over? If it is, play with me!

MC: Fufu. Then, shall we play with these dolls? 

I took the female puppet doll and put it on my hand. 

Toto: I'll hold this doll! I know! They're friends, so shouldn't they hold hands?

MC: Yes, they should. 

Through the puppet dolls that we were using, I held hands with Toto-kun. 

Toto: Even though I'm holding Master's hand... Doesn't it feel different? 

MC: That's probably because you're having fun. 

Toto: I see. I'm feeling happy, so it's a little different. 

(For Toto-kun to feel that way...) 

MC: Toto-kun, shall we play?

Toto: Yeah!

Getting a ticklish feeling, I moved the doll. 

Toto: MC, you're cute today as well. 

MC: Fufu, thank you. You're looking cool, Toto-kun. 

Toto: ...I'm happy. 

As Toto-kun stuttered those words softly, he broke into a bashful smile. 

Toto: I love you, MC!

MC: ...!

Even though he was saying those innocent words to the doll... My cheeks gradually became hot. Then, Toto-kun brought the doll's face closer... and gave me a kiss. 

Toto: Hehe. 

Toto-kun's sudden prank made my heart go fast. Then... 

Toto: ... 

As Toto-kun was looking at my face, he suddenly got closer and... He placed a gentle kiss on my nose. 

MC: Eh... 

Just as I realized that in a daze, his shoulders dropped uneasily. 

Toto: ...Master, could it be that you didn't like that? When the doll got close to you... You looked like you were going to praise me. 

(Was I making that kind of face...)

Toto: I'm sorry... 

MC: It's okay, I didn't hate it. 

Toto: Really? 

When I removed the puppet doll, I held Toto-kun's hand... and he made a relieved smile. 

Toto: Somehow... Being touched by Master makes my heart tighten. I don't hate that feeling. But, it feels strange. 

MC: ...Same here. 

Toto: Even Master!? 

MC: Yes. 

This comforting and constricting feeling in my heart, I don't think I'm ready to share that with Toto-kun yet. But... 

Toto: Right now, I'm really happy. 

(...Me too.) 

When Toto-kun leaned forward in front of me, he held my hand back. His smile that was brimming with joy filled my heart with happiness...
