Chapter 5 - Help!

(Help!) 

With my voice stuck in my throat, I couldn't make a sound. The swords that were coming towards me looked like they were going in slow motion. 

(I'm going to get killed...!) 

The moment I closed my eyes tightly...

??: Hold it!

Byakuyou-san's voice echoed throughout the courtyard. Just as the men flinched from that sudden voice, Byakuyou-san ran over here as fast as the wind. 

Byakuyou: Such a cowardly act!

Before my eyes, there was the intense sharp sound of swords clashing against each other. In just a second, Byakuyou-san came in and knocked away many of the men's swords. 

Man: Ugh... 

After getting hit by the back of the sword, a man fell to the ground in pain. After getting through that man, Byakuyou-san went after the next one. I couldn't take my eyes off him as he looked like he was dancing while doing martial arts. Then, after striking the last man's vital spot, Byakuyou-san turned towards me. 

Byakuyou: MC, are you okay!? 

MC: Y-Yes!

(I got caught up in watching Byakuyou-san.)

Then... Byakuyou-san stood in front of Kazuki-sama and strongly slapped her cheek. 

Kazuki: ...!

Byakuyou: You, know some shame!

Kazuki: ......

When the retainers ran over here from hearing all the noise, they surrounded Kazuki-sama as she was holding her cheek dumbfounded...

The usually cheerful Byakuyou-san looked down with an apologetic face.

When I forced myself to smile, Byakuyou-san furrowed his brow troubledly.

Byakuyou: Such a strange face... Honestly, you're hopeless without me. You're such a cute girl. I don't want to hand you over to other guys. 

Byakuyou-san's gentle scent went along with the wind. 

Byakuyou: You don't have to leave. Go do what you want. 

MC: Do what I want? 

Byakuyou: Yes. What do you want to do? 

MC: I... I want to be with Byakuyou-san. 

After I said that clearly, Byakuyou-san made a satisfied smile and held my hand tightly. 

Byakuyou: You're always welcome to, MC. Maybe I should choose you as my fiancée for real this time. 

MC: Eh!? 

As Byakuyou-san smiled mischievously, he caressed my cheek with his other hand. 

Byakuyou: You're just so cute. But, I'm going to make you even more beautiful from here on. Besides, you're going to be by my side. 

MC: ...Okay!

When he pulled my hand, we walked on the hill. While Byakuyou-san was walking slightly ahead of me, the warm breeze made his long hair flutter. As he couldn't look any more beautiful from behind, I thought of how I wanted to see him like that forever...
