Chapter 1 - The Lost Woods

Kingdom of Wonders, Wondermare, Forest territory... 

The other day, when I woke him up in the deep forest where the sunlight can't reach... 

-Flashback-

Capita: ...I should thank you for waking me up from a long slumber. But, I'm confused right now... No, I should probably say that I'm feeling tipsy. I want to say something, but won't you come visit after some time has passed?

...At that time, Capita-san said that. So, I visited Wondermare once more after a week has passed...

I was surprised by how modern the lined up tall buildings were. 

(This is very different from what I imagined the Kingdom of Wonders would be like. Come to think of it, Wondermare was made when "Alice" came to visit in the past...) 

I headed to Forest behind the town and then, I saw a peaceful sight. 

(Forest should be up ahead deep in the woods... Ah, I can see it.) 

After going through the peaceful woods for a while, the fog became thicker. Above all that, no matter how much I walked, I haven't reached my destination, Forest.

Just as I felt uneasiness rising, I heard footsteps from the bushes. 

MC: You're...

Capita: Who would've thought that you would be here... I knew that you would lose your way. 

What appeared was Capita-san, who hasn't changed since a week ago. From his long hair that had green in it, his prudent eye looked at me through his monocle lenses... 

Capita: These woods are called the Lost Woods. It'd be best for you to come with me. 

MC: ...Okay. 

Then, after the meeting with Capita-san again, we went deep into the woods... and arrived at Forest... 

Chapter 2 - Closed Off Village

Forest was an old village that was like another world that was cut off. 

MC: To think that there was a place like this in the woods. 

Capita: Forest was originally an oasis that would protect groups of people from the world's changes...

The not so large town that was like a park made it feel like I was going through a forest and it was quiet everywhere. I saw old books and maps in a brick wall, as well as lots of strangely shaped tools that I don't know what they're used for.

When I looked at the castle that's beyond town, Capita-san showed me the way. 

In the castle hallway that had a bit of a dusty scent, there were piles of books here and there. As Capita-san was walking ahead, he turned towards me and touched his monocle with great interest. 

Capita: ...

MC: What's wrong? 

Capita: Your ring's power is mysterious, it's been a long time since I've become curious. Won't you let me see that ring a little?

As it was silent in Forest today as well... After a few days went by, I was enjoying the slightly different life in Forest with Capita-san.

Capita: ...Something like this happening. Someone that prefers Forest to stay old and is trying to prevent it from changing. There are some people that fear the slightest changes in the castle.

(I want to do something for Capita-san, even if it's just a little...) 

As I gripped the hem of my clothes, I readied myself and raised my face. 

MC: ...It looks like I've made everyone uneasy.
