Chapter 1 - A Reunion in the Dark Night

Fallen Kingdom, the Prince of Calavina, Kairi... Even though he doesn't let anyone get close to him and seems to like his solitude...

(Still, the look in his eyes that I saw at that time... He looked like he was in so much pain as if he was recalling something.) 

Curious about the reason behind that, I went to the town that he was staying in. 

(It became completely dark, but is this the town that Kairi-san is in?) 

Alone in the backstreets that's shrouded in darkness and fog, I searched for Kairi-san while feeling helpless.

(Just now, the person that's leaning against the corner.) 

I hurriedly went after that familiar looking back... 

MC: Kairi-san!

Kairi: You're even in a town like this... You sure have a lot of free time. 

He looked at me with his almond shaped eyes that I haven't seen for a long time. His cold words and gaze pierced my heart.

Kairi: ...Do you need something from me? 

(Why... Even though I wanted to talk to him, I can't bring myself to speak well.) 

Kairi: ...Are you going to be standing there forever?

While keeping an eye on the backstreets that's under the darkness' control, Kairi-san murmured that... 

Chapter 2 - Turmoil in the Dark Night

Kairi: You, aren't you the Traumerei Princess, then you shouldn't be walking alone at this hour. This town is dangerous, it's not good for someone like you to be wandering around alone. 

MC: Kairi-san, I-

Just as I readied myself and was about to speak, a dark silhouette suddenly stood before us. 

Kairi: ...I'll talk to you soon after. 

MC: Eh? 

Kairi: Get down.

After taking a glance towards a vulgar looking man, Kairi-san sighed.

After saying that, the man took advantage of the darkness and disappeared.

As he shook off the gunpowder smoke from the tip of his gun, Kairi-san watched the man disappear into the alley.

Someone grabbed my arm and covered my mouth.

That eerie voice sent a shiver down my spine. At that moment...

Kairi: Let her go. 

After hearing that voice along with the sound of a gunshot, the man held his shoulder as he was throbbing in pain. 

Mystery Man: Dammit, pull back!

Despite the sudden invasion, when the man shouted that, many people went out through the window and disappeared into the darkness. 

Kairi: They got away. 

MC: Kairi-san, where did you go!? ...!? 

Suddenly, Kairi-san hugged me. It made me feel like I've turned into a child.

Kairi: I... someone important to me again.

As he was hugging me to the point that it was starting to hurt, his body trembled a little.

After that, Kairi-san took me to the hidden house that he usually goes to. From what Kairi-san told me, he's worried that the men from before would surround the inn and try to get their revenge. 

Kairi: MC, why are you getting involved with me? 

MC: That's... 

With the sensation of his embrace from earlier still remaining, I wouldn't calm down. I took a deep breath and looked for the words... 

MC: That look you were showing before... I was curious about it. 

Kairi: Even though it was my fault that you got attacked? 

MC: ...Yes.

As he narrowed his eyes to avoid the bright light, he looked like he was in pain. 

(I'm like his sister...? So, that's why Kairi-san always looked so sad whenever he looks at me. That's why... he protected me.)

I didn't feel like myself as I looked at his reddish eyes. After knowing about Kairi-san's true motives, my heart slightly throbbed. 

Kairi: ...Sorry, forget about everything just now.

After that, we hardly spoke to each other and then, I fell asleep.

During my nap, I felt the gentle warmth of a hand. Then, the fingers that were tickling me were petting my head as if I was something fragile... 

Kairi: Why is it so easy trust people... It's so idiotic. Right now, coming to my place and sleeping so peacefully like this... Why...
