Toto - Prince of Oz - Main Story
Chapter 1 - Please Be My Owner!
Kingdom of Rainbows, Oz, August...
When I joined my hands together and gave a prayer within the drifting sweet scent of flowers, the ring emitted a strong light...
(So bright...!)
After the light gradually settled down, what appeared from it was a young man with black hair.
MC: You are...?
Toto: I'm... Toto.
(Toto-kun...)
Toto-kun shook his head like a cute dog and looked at me.
Toto: ...You... me... You saved me... What an amazing person...
After murmuring that, Toto-kun's large and handsome body curled up a little... He stared at me with those really clear eyes.
(I-Is something wrong? Could it be that he's hurt...?)
Just as I became worried and was about to ask him, Toto-kun suddenly grabbed my hand with both of his. Then...
Toto: Please be my owner!
MC: Eh!?
Due to that crazy statement, I looked at Toto-kun in bewilderment. Although, on Toto-kun's serious face, he was looking at me pleadingly.
(S-Somehow, I can't leave him alone... Also, he doesn't seem to be joking... Hmm, but calling me an owner might be really troubling...)
Toto: I only want you! Please!
MC: U-Um, I'm sorry. Being called an owner is a little troubling...
Toto: Eh... No way...
When I softly turned him down in embarrassment, tears appeared in Toto-kun's eyes.
(Eh? He's crying...)
Despite his large body, that reaction makes him more like a child or an animal.
(...I can't leave him alone...)
MC: U-Um...
Even though I was embarrassed, I was hesitating...
Toto: Being told that I'm troubling...
The shock that Toto-kun has received made his face turn red for some reason.
Toto: ...Makes me a little happy...
MC: Eh...??
Toto: N-No, it's nothing... Um. I want to be owned by you no matter what...!
Even though I turned him down, Toto-kun clung onto my arm in disappointment...
Chapter 2 - Am I Strange?
Toto: I want to be owned by you no matter what...!
After waking up Toto-kun, I felt like an owner, but slightly different. When I arrived at the castle with Toto-kun like that, I was surprised that there were just a few servants in the castle aside from him.
(Are Toto-kun's parents and siblings absent...?)
As I looked around while thinking that it was strange, Toto-kun clung onto my arm a little more...
Toto: Even if you look, there's no one here... I'm the only one that's living in the castle.
He softly murmured that.
MC: You live in such a big castle by yourself? That's...

MC: Sounds lonely...
Toto: Yeah, I was really lonely up till now...

Toto: But, you came along!
MC: Eh?
Toto: This whole time, my next owner... I've been searching for a master.
MC: Next?
(Now that he mentions it, was there someone that raised Toto-kun...?)
As I was confused, Toto-kun looked at me.
Toto: I can't do anything by myself... That's why, I want to be owned by you. Please.
When he appealed to me with his eyes that were like a stray dog's, I ended up becoming deeply moved by his affections, but...
MC: I'm sorry, that really seems a little difficult...
Toto: Why?
MC: Because, um... Owning people is a little strange...
Toto: Am I... strange...?
Toto-kun repeated my words and made an ecstatic expression.
(Eh... Why is he being so ecstatic...!?)
MC: J-Just now, that didn't make you happy... Right?
Despite it seemed like I was more or less correct, Toto-kun tilted his head to the side in puzzlement and didn't look like he understands.
Toto: But, being called strange by you... Being scolded by you made me really happy.
MC: I-I see...
(He really is strange...)
Toto: So, won't you become my owner?
(This conversation is going around in circles...)
As I was at a complete loss, I looked towards the servants passing through the hall and just as I was about to ask them for help... They responded somewhat sadly in return towards the dilemma I was in...
Chapter 3 - I'm Fine with This Person!
In the castle hall, I was at a complete loss when Toto-kun pressed me about wanting me to be his master again.
(What should I do... It looks like Toto-kun won't understand no matter how many times I explain it to him...)
Then, we heard the hall door opening.
??: Toto-sama, you've returned...! ...Were you out looking for an owner again?
As that voice echoed within the hall, the old gentleman walked over here. When I showed my face from Toto-kun's shadow, the old gentleman's expression stiffened up soon after.
??: My apologies. If I had known that you had a guest... I'm Toto-sama's butler.
MC: Nice to meet you.
(What a relief... I finally found someone that looks like they'll listen.)
When I felt truly relieved, I explained everything that has happened up till now.
......
Butler: I see... The dream eaters got Toto-sama... For that... You have my gratitude for saving him.
MC: It was nothing.
Butler: More importantly, Toto-sama, why would you go to such a dangerous place?
The moment the butler scolded Toto-kun...
Toto: ...So annoying.
(Eh!?)
When his cute behavior from before went away, I became surprised by Toto-kun's attitude and the annoyed look on his face.
Toto: ...I was just looking for someone to be my owner. You got a problem with that?
(Toto-kun...? He's suddenly talking so rudely...)
As I was getting used to Toto-kun talking like that, the butler sighed and turned towards me.
Butler: You must have been surprised by all sorts of things when you came to the castle.
MC: Yes. There aren't a lot of people here after all.
Butler: That's because Toto-sama is the only royal in this castle. Oswald-sama, the great wizard of Oz assigned this territory of Pad Town here to Toto-sama... Oswald-sama entrusted this land to Toto-sama to govern as a prince.
MC: Is that so... Suddenly becoming a prince...

- Must be troubling to do (☽)
MC: That must be troubling to do...
When I felt sympathy towards Toto-kun's situation, his expression brightened up the moment he looked at me.
Toto: That's right, it's really troubling for me! So, help me!
MC: Uh...
- What an amazing story (☼)
MC: What an amazing story...
When I ended up murmuring that dumbfoundedly, Toto-kun's eyes shined as he approached me.
Toto: Just now, did you call me amazing as a praise?
Toto-kun wagged his tail happily like a dog.
(W-What should I do? He looks really happy.)
As he was making that honest happy expression, I wanted to say that he's wrong, but I made a wry smile to dodge the question.

Toto: ...I told Oswald. I'm fine with being a prince, but I can't do anything without someone owning me.
(Come to think of it, he did say that...)
It seemed like the butler agrees as he looked at me troubledly.
Butler: ...Such an impudent request could take hundreds of years or an eternity... Traumerei Princess, is it possible for you to own Toto-sama?
(Even the butler. But...)
MC: Um... That's a little...
Butler: Are you going to leave... My apologies, so please forget about it.
Sympathizing with my feelings, the butler immediately pulled back.
Butler: Someone from somewhere will become Toto-sama's owner, but... Once they do, it'll be considerably difficult...
Toto: Huh? What are you saying? It can't be anyone else, I'm with this person! Aside from her, all other people are trash.
(T-Trash...!?)
Butler: Seems like Toto-sama has taken a huge liking to you, Traumerei Princess.
The butler became deeply moved and started to cry... Unsure on what I should do, I just stood there.
Toto: Also... Even if you say no, I think this person is fine...
He looked happy and sad... With an expression of both, Toto-kun sighed. I...

Toto: I want to be owned.

MC: Why an owner?
Toto: Why?

Butler: ...Actually, Toto-sama lost his past memories...
MC: Eh?
Butler: ...He doesn't remember why he's looking for an owner.
(So that's why Toto-kun is so fixated on the existence of an owner like this. ...A single prince with no memories...)
When I looked around the inside of the vast castle that Toto-kun has been living alone in, complicated feelings took hold of me...
Chapter 4 - I'll Be a Good Boy
In the empty vast castle hall, I found out that Toto-kun has been looking for an owner because of his lost memories...
MC: ...Not having any other memories is so...
Toto: Other?
Toto-kun tilted his head to the side with an innocent look.
Toto: I'm fine since I found Master. Yet, why are you making such a sad face?

Toto: No. What's hard for me is when Master isn't around...

MC: If I was in the same position, I would surely be scared...
Toto: But, I'm okay.

Toto: I would be sad if Master isn't here...
When Toto-kun hung his head down disheartened, my feelings became slightly unstable from seeing how pitiful he looked.
Toto: Um... I'll be a good boy.
Toto-kun reached out towards me and held the hem of my clothes with his fingers.
MC: ...
Just like before, I was unable to refuse him...
Toto: Hey...
Toto-kun was looking at me and nothing else with a heated gaze.
(What should I do? At this rate, I might really give in to him... Ah, I know!)
MC: Uh... How about the two of us go for a walk around town for a bit?
Toto: A walk!?
When I thoughtlessly suggested that as a way to get out of here, Toto-kun energetically raised his face and broke into a smile.
Butler: Traumerei Princess... How are you going to do that? What if...
As the butler looked like he was going to question me about being Toto-kun's owner, I shook my head apologetically as a response.
MC: If we go into town, we might come across some kind of clue to his memories...
(Even though Toto-kun said that he has been searching for an owner...)
Since there's a possibility that Toto-kun is obsessed with the existence of an owner due to not having any other memories, I can't agree to his simple thinking.
(Still... Despite that I can't be his owner, I want to help Toto-kun...)
Butler: ...I see, looking for his memories. If he regains his memories, Toto-sama might stop sticking to the idea of an owner.
MC: Yes...
Butler: I understand. Then, I'll leave Toto-sama into your care.
The butler looked at me with a somewhat bright expression and bowed. After I returned a smile to the butler, I headed to town with Toto-kun as he was uncontrollably excited...
