Sharon - Prince of Rabia - Main Story

Chapter 1 - Genie of the Lamp

Desert Kingdom, Rabia, August... Underneath the hot sunlight, light emitted from a ring and a single boy woke up.

??: Hm...? You are?

MC: I'm-

??: I got it! I know who you are! Aren't you the genie of the lamp!?

MC: Eh!?

His light blue eyes that looked like they could see through me were shining brightly.

(G-Genie of the lamp?)

??: That's what I think since you have the power to wake me up!

MC: W-Wait a second...

Sharon: I'm Sharon! I'm the prince of the Desert Kingdom, Rabia! Hey, please! Grant my wish!

MC: Um...

Sharon: Kuh! I'm so lucky! I got to meet the genie of the lamp that I've been looking for since I was a kid!

(He's not giving me a chance to speak... Also, there isn't a lamp anywhere.)

Sharon: Please! Hey!!

As Sharon made a toothy grin, the desert shined underneath the hot sunlight...

Chapter 2 - Sharon's Wish

Sharon: Hey, please! Grant my wish! Please! Hey!!

Even though I wanted to tell him that I'm not the genie of the lamp many times, I've been going with what Sharon said for a while now.

MC: Like I said, I'm not. I don't even know what the genie of the lamp is...

Sharon: Trying to play dumb again! The genie of the lamp grants wishes to the people they meet, that's what the legend of this kingdom says! So, you must grant my wish.

- A wish? (☽)

MC: What is your wish?

Sharon: Oh! So, you've finally become interested!

Sharon made a satisfied smile and placed both of his hands on his waist.

- Like I said, I'm not (☼)

MC: Like I've said many times now, I'm not the genie of the lamp.

Sharon: That can't be! Your hair color, eye color and skin color too... You're exactly what the legend says you are!

(How troubling...)

Sharon: Make me rich!

(M-Make him rich...?)

Just as I blinked from Sharon's words...

??: If it isn't Sharon!

When we turned towards that voice, a group that looked like traveling merchants with a lot of camels carrying their large luggage were passing by.

Male Merchant: It's been a while! We haven't seen you for a while, so we were worried.

Sharon: Sorry about that! I was just in a situation where I couldn't move for a bit.

Male Merchant: Then, please come escort us. We're on a bit of a long journey this time. You may be small, but you have a lot of strength!

Sharon: Calling me small was unnecessary! But, I understand! Will I be getting a reward?

Male Merchant: Who knows, it depends on the work that you do. Then, we'll be in touch next time.

After saying that, the group waved their hands as they left.

Sharon: They're in the middle of a caravan. I would sometimes work as an escort and receive a reward.

MC: I see.

(Work... Even though Sharon is a prince?)

When that question came to mind, I stared at him.

Sharon: Now, let's go!

Sharon pulled my hand and started walking.

MC: G-Go where?

Sharon: To town. The sun will be setting soon. The desert gets cold at night.

When I got a closer look at him, there were many wounds on Sharon's arms and hands.

(Were those from his job as an escort...? Even though he's a prince, why does he need a lot of money?)

As his robust arm was pulling me, we headed to town as the sun was going towards the horizon...

Chapter 3 - A Snake and a Fortune Teller

By the time we've arrived at town, the sun became hidden completely.

(It suddenly became cold...)

Sharon: You okay? It's hard if you're not used to it.

After saying that, Sharon placed his thick cloak over my shoulder. The moment he held my shoulder, my heart throbbed a little for some reason.

Sharon: Make sure to wear this properly.

- Sharon should use it (☽)

MC: It's your cloak, so I feel bad. Shouldn't you be using it?

Sharon: I'm okay! I'm used to it after all.

- Thank you (☼)

MC: Thank you. But, Sharon, will you be okay?

Sharon: Of course I will! I've been living in the desert ever since I was born after all!

Sharon: But, we should hurry and go to an inn. Even I get cold if I stay outside for too long.

The desert town was deadly silent all around. There were cracks in the walls of the town buildings and even though the sun had just set, there weren't a lot of people walking in town.

(...Somehow, this town gives out a bit of a lonely feeling.)

The moment I thought of that...

Sharon: A flute?

From a street corner, we heard the mysterious sound of a flute. When we went to take a look, there was a single old man playing a flute as he was surrounded by pot-shaped baskets.

Sharon: What? Aren't you a fortune teller?

Fortune Teller: Indeed. Would you like to have your fortune told?

Sharon: Sorry, but I don't have enough money for entertainment use.

Fortune Teller: That's not a problem. Today will be on the house.

Sharon: Oh! Now you're talking!

When the fortune teller placed the oddly shaped flute against his mouth and started playing a mysterious song...

Sharon: Kyaaaah!!

Just as a huge snake showed itself from a basket, Sharon hugged me from aside when he saw it.

MC: S-Sharon!?

- Back away (☼)

MC: H-Hey...!

Surprised, I backed away from Sharon without thinking and...

Sharon: A-A snake! I hate snakes!!

- Hug him back (☽)

MC: A-A snake!

When I became surprised from the snake suddenly appearing, I hugged Sharon back without thinking.

Sharon: I can't stand snakes!

Fortune Teller: ...You.

MC: Eh?

Fortune Teller: You have a hidden power that hasn't been released yet.

MC: Um...?

Those words made Sharon's expression brighten up.

Sharon: So, that's it, Miss Genie! That's why I thought it was strange~! That's why you're unable to grant my wish properly. In that case, you should've told me!

MC: Like I said, I'm not...

Sharon: If Miss Genie's power gets released, will my wish be granted!?

Fortune Teller: ...Of course.

(Eh...!?)

Sharon: What do we have to do!?

When Sharon asked that, the snake came out of the basket and looked in one direction.

Sharon: Eek!

Fortune Teller: Head to the eastern oasis.

Whether it was because of the fortune teller's deep voice or the cold in the desert at night.. I was getting a chilling sensation...
